  1. The Bills need a real TE on offense. It would improve things immensely even with the current other offensive personnel.
  2. He's the reason the Pats win. Didn't you know?
  3. If ONLY the Bills could have played the Shaun Rogers-less Lions or the Shawne "steroid freak" Merriman-less Chargers!
  4. During the telecast, one of the announcers said that JP wanted to show everyone that the Bills had the guys already there to be a good offense and didn't need anyone else. I didn't agree with that, but like how things are slowly turning around.
  5. Hold on a second. Your Giants example totally destroys your argument. The reason why the Giants have a waiting list for season tix is the same reason the Jets do; a huge population with wealth, set against the backdrop of the NFL being the best sport in the world.
  6. Didn't know that. How many tix would you say local businesses have bought this year?
  7. Well to be fair, if the Chargers are selling-out their stadium, there might be a lot more fans who want to go to games but can't. No way to know for sure. However the fact that the Bills are in the top-half in attendance means all is not as bad as it seems. I agree that maybe they should cover-up some seats and/or waive the blackout rule after a certain number of tickets are sold/revenue is generated.
  8. Chambers is HIGHLY overrated.
  9. Because you want more than "pretty solid." Frankly the ONLY position on the O-line that's off-limits is LT. The rest could use upgrades. Unfortunately there is only so much cap room and/or players available. The Bills need to find out whether guys like Pennington, Preston, Merz, and Butler are the guys who can assume the other starting positions and play them well. Otherwise they need to be replaced.
  10. I wouldn't be surprised if the networks start demanding that the NFL do this, or get rid of the blackout rule altogether, considering the major dollars the NFL makes off-of TV versus ticket sales. When LA gets a team, I can't see the networks allowing blackouts there.
  11. Talk to the defense about that one.
  12. I've seen enough of Aiken to think he'll never be more than a "ST's demon." I would like to see George Wilson. He's got size and was impressive in camp, like Brad Cieslak was.
  13. True. But none of them has the wheels of a guy sub-6'3".
  14. I wonder if the Bills would have traded-back into the 1st round, and taken Mangold, if they had signed Pickett (along with Tripplett)?
  15. Stay safe and we look forward to reading your posts when you get back.
  16. I'd like to see Ellison, and all the rookies, after they've spent an off-season in the strength and conditioning program.
  17. According to Chris Brown, Willis is not on the injury report this week. Oh and Reed and Ellison should be ready to return.
  18. Young had 2 years of seasoning in the USFL, 2 more years languishing in Tampa Bay, and 4 learning the system in SF before his breakout year in 1991.
  19. McGee wasn't out there on that penultimate play.
  20. I agree totally. Give Williams and McCargo a full off-season of strength and conditioning and see where they're at next year. If anything, draft a run-stopping DT in the later rounds like they did with Williams.
  21. The concerns about JP were related to his Wonderlic score (i.e. whether he really scored a 12 the first time) and coming from a lesser program with lesser talent around him where pro skills weren't taught/developed. He was also considered too cocky and a coach killer. I think he's pretty much proven all that wrong. And I agree with AD about the Leinart comparison. Leinart was THE most NFL-ready QB to come along in awhile. Yet despite having 2 Pro Bowl WR's and a Pro Bowl RB, his performance and numbers suck and he's won just 1 game. Quinn isn't even close to Leinart's level and wouldn't have the same set of receivers, yet you're sure he's succeed where JP hasn't?
