Sure it is! While there are some Bills players who haven't played in it, MOST of the Dols players aren't used to it.

Yes but he's not a rookie. Speaking of which, he's a RFA after the season. If they tender him at the lowest level, it's something like $600K and it costs a 3rd rounder for another team to sign him. Hopefully they workout a reasonable long-term deal.

I'm not calling it a mistake. Just that Mangold at center would have solidified things right from the start and given the Bills a great center, whereas finding one now is going to be hard. There are no great ones available in FA and the draft seems pretty weak.

Fowler is signed through 2008. I wouldn't cut him by any stretch. I'm just looking for what's been missing since Hull, which is a dominating center. I was hoping for LeCharles Bentley and in retrospect, Mangold over McCargo would have been great.

I read earlier in the week that Willis was questionable today with an ankle injury. I will assume that it affected him a lot last weekend but wasn't a factor today.

I think the Bills will avoid a big-name DT in FA because they already signed Tripplett, have Williams who is playing well and will be better next year after improving his strength, flexibility, and conditioning, and spent a 1st on McCargo who should also improve his strength, flexibility, and conditioning over the off-season. I'd say a low-level run-stopping DT at best in FA or late in the draft.

I disagree. The Bills need a Kent Hull type of center to be a great O-line, not to mention someone to replace Gandy who will likely be gone (and isn't that great to begin with, although he's better than what the Bills have had there the past few years). I think Preston and Pennington have upside, but they need to show it the last few games of the season.
