  1. I'm just wonder, how BAD was Clements' interview?
  2. It was worth going 6-10 to get rid of the that coaching staff. Getting the coaches the Bills did was just a bonus!
  3. We'll see. Brady has been pretty worried about losing Weis. And for good reason.
  4. Hopefully Crennel is gone as well, but with Belichick being a defensive genius and the lesser talent Weis has had to work with, I'd say that Weis is the better coordinator.
  5. Moulds' injury in the 5th game of the season, and Reed's decline rather than improvement, were 2 unforeseen events last year that hurt the Bills tremendously. With Price, TD made the right move, brilliant (the Cards could have done the same thing with Boston, but didn't, and he was considered THE premiere WR in FA) or not, and got a player who should prove to be MUCH better and more important than Price would have been.
  6. Ask the zebras. You seem to think they know everything.
  7. The only way the Bills could have gotten something for Winfield was to FP him. There is NO WAY any team would have given up a draft pick, much less a 1st rounder, PLUS paid him the average of the top-5 CB's, because he's good, but not THAT good.
  8. I heard he might play, but not start, i.e. play nickel (which some consider a starting position, though). Against the Browns the Bills don't need him, but it would be a good time to get him ready for the game next weekend against the Bengals where they'll REALLY need him.
  9. That's one of my favorites. Many years ago on a morning show, there were 2 football players talking about some topic and agreeing. One said "my sediments exactly" and the other (I want to say Bob Golic) turned to him and said "Sediments? What are you, a rock?" Too funny!
  10. My sediments exactly! And I don't think there will be too much chemisty broken with him playing nickel, where I think he'd be best suited right now.
  11. That's right. Forgot about the cheeseburgers for the West Coast trips thingy.
  12. They'll be using the tickets as low-fat/high-fiber replacements for their beef patties.
  13. Sorry. I thought that those 2 things would/should go hand-in-hand, but I guess not. Then again, it's possible that Weis wasn't even on the radar screen when guys like Montana and Parsegian came out in support of Clements. And once he did, it's not like those guys would be saying "no wait, now we want Weis."
  14. Obviously it IS a problem, otherwise they wouldn't be recalling them. Companies usually determine which is worse: the money potentially to be lost in lawsuits or from a recall, and then choose the cheaper route.
  15. I don't see why Clements would have more backing than Weis. Weis' credentials are WAY better than Clements', IMHO.
  16. My last post on Sirius: If you really want a good article, check this out: http://www.tdwaterhouse.com/research/index.html The highlights are: -CIBC increased their target price for Sirius from $6.50 to $9, just 2 days after Smith Barney downgraded the stock to "sell" when it was at $9 -CIBC prefers Sirius over XM because of higher monthly charge, NFL, and Stern, versus just MLB -CIBC sees 20.7 combined satellite customers by 2007 (and when I contacted Sirius, they said that they needed 1M subscribers to cover Stern's contract) Take it FWIW, and if you have the stock, do with it whatever you please. As I said, I wasn't just pissing in the wind on this one. But I'll admit I got some useful info from this thread.
  17. I'd rather have McGahee trying to run it than Burns.
  18. How could the Irish NOT want Weis over Clements? He's younger, been in the NFL and an OC longer, and has done a lot with little.
  19. I said the same thing. When I saw the score was 24-14 I said "come on guys, get a TD to pull within 4 before halftime, and win it in the 2nd half." However I BETTER not be saying that THIS weekend!
  20. ND is reportedly going to be interviewing Charlie Weis within the next day or two. I hope they choose him.
  21. Blame the Browns fans. I can't remember who said it, but one of the female posters here tried to get tix to the game a couple weeks ago, but was told the game was down to single seats. She still bought them, but they aren't together. Now they have 5,000. I doubt any Buffalo fans would or COULD return them, so it must be ones reserved for Browns fans, who didn't want them. That's probably a good part of the reason for the extension.
  22. Just say no, to the cover-2!
  23. Okay then, stupid "unrealized gain."
