  1. It went from a Vick love-fest to a Peppers love-fest.
  2. I've been mentioning this for the past 2 days. Fontenot is 38 and well on the downside of his career. Adams will have a field day. And Braham's career is in jeopardy.
  3. I don't think that the Jets have the firepower to beat them, and Pennington isn't 100%. I doubt the Jets win.
  4. Gay and the rest of the Pats' secondary got lit up by the Bengals last weekend. They're not nearly as good as the Colts on offense. Like I said, if Edge can hang onto the ball this time, the Colts likely win. The only real shot I see the Pats having is if it snows, again.
  5. I heard from a Bills fan who is in Cincy that he saw Carson Palmer and he was limping noticeably. No way he plays tomorrow.
  6. It certainly won't help them against the Colts. Manning lit them up in Foxboro WITH both Law and Poole healthy. If Edge can hang onto the ball this time, the Colts win.
  7. Law will likely be limited with that broken foot. I'm anxious to see them play the Colts.
  8. Hey, they do get SOME right now and again!
  9. Actually they have the head-to-head tie-breaker on NE.
  10. Big Ben has 15 TD's and 10 INT's (1.5:1 TD:INT ratio) in 13 starts, all wins. Care to take a guess what Brady's TD:INT ratio was in 2001, his 2nd year in the NFL as first as a full-time starter? And Brady had more INT's than TD's in his last 8 games of that season.
  11. I saw both plays and it was a good call IMHO on both counts. On the Barber play, the Steelers player was riding Barber out of bounds, then lets go, which causes Barber's momentum to make him fall. No push, no hit, just letting him go. As for the late hit on Big Ben, there were 2 linemen smothering him, the whistle had blown, then the safety comes in and knocks him down. It didn't look so bad on replay, but looked like a penalty in real-time. And QB's are WAY more protected than any other position.
  12. Big Ben is as overrated as Brady. Goes to show you it takes a team to win AND lose.
  13. Big Ben "wins" games just like Tom Brady does. IOW it's all about the team.
  14. Thankfully either GW learned from his "I don't like fat guys" days, or was overridden by TD. And also thankfully Sam took a stand and told the coaches he wasn't being used right.
  15. LOL! Idiot quote of the day. Especially considering he plays in Facksburra, home to the white collar family pricing stadium.
  16. Braham is 5# heavier, younger, and better. I don't think there's much difference experience-wise since they've both been in the league long enough to have seen most stuff, but being in physical (and mental) decline aren't good things, especially when faced with younger guys still in their prime or close to it, who weigh 30# AT LEAST more than you.
  17. True. But in the end, it doesn't really matter.
  18. I think that happens even MORESO since starting Center Rich Braham is out and 38-year old backup center Jerry Fontenot will be playing in his place.
  19. And if not them, then the Rams at home against the Jets will sure be motivated. So I can see the Jets losing at least 2 of the next 3, since I see them losing to the Pats who have their OWN motivation.
  20. Yes the Yankees choked. Big time. The worst choke in MLB history, if not sports history. That being said, they know where their problems are (i.e. pitching) and are trying to do something about it. The Sox' strength and the reason they won it all was because of their pitching, and they've lost a key part in Pedro, could potentially lose another in Lowe, and Schilling HIMSELF said that he probably won't be ready for the start of the season. They'll still be in contention but I wouldn't exactly install them as faves to win the WS this year. As for steroids, what difference does that make to the Yanks? Giambi did NOTHING for the Yanks last year, and will be gone and not a distraction anymore.
  21. Don't be too happy wwo. The Sox had a magical season, but now they've lost Pedro, might lose Lowe (although if the Yanks DO get RJ I bet they resign him), and Schilling says his recovery is going slowly and he might not be ready for the start of the season.
  22. Not likely. It's just a ruse to make the Bills have to prepare for 2 QB's. No reason to risk Palmer for an essentially meaningless game (for them, other than pride). And if he DOES play, he'll be gimpy, protected by a 38 year-old center, and DEAD MEAT!
  23. Elvis eats boats! Uh, thankyou. Thankyouverymuch.
