  1. I want to see JP get 3,000 yards, Willis get 1,000 yards, and then both be pulled.
  2. I mentioned in another thread that if the Bills structured Nate's contract like the Broncos did Champ Bailey's (i.e. a $6M signing bonus and $12M more in additional option/buyout bonuses), the can spread-out the hit to Ralph's wallet.
  3. Another name in FA is DT Terdell Sands. He's 6'7" and 335#.
  4. It's from NFL Network's Adam Schefter. Then again, he's reportedly a false rumor mongerer.
  5. What I'm hearing is 5-years, $10M with a $3.5M signing bonus.
  6. What's wrong with Scott? He's the starter on a stout Bears defense at NT.
  7. The Jets were fortunate to a) get the Titans as the first game of the season (before Young became the starter and the team got hot), b) playing the Lions without Shaun Rogers, and c) getting to play Cleveland and Oakland rather than Chargers and Ravens. And I'm not so broken-up over the loss. From the beginning it was apparent the run defense was crap and nothing changed. Fortunately it's an easy fix (in theory) and just needs a run-stopping DT. What we DO know though is we have our QB.
  8. Well, if you can't remember that it was "float like a butterfly..."
  9. According to NFL.com's "Playoff scenarios," only "Arizona, Cleveland, Detroit, Houston, Miami, Minnesota, Oakland, Tampa Bay and Washington have been eliminated from playoff contention." I assume a Jets win tonight eliminates a bunch of others, but it appears the Bills are still mathematically in it.
  10. I wouldn't say they need a "substantial" overhaul, or even an overhaul at all. On the DL, add a good run-stuffing DT. At LB, build around Ellison, be with Crowell, Fletch, Spikes, or someone like Lance Briggs. At CB, keep Nate, promote Youboty to 2nd WR, and move McGee back to nickel.
  11. If you want to blame someone for Travis leaving, blame Travis himself. The Bills were fully prepared to keep him, but Travis felt slighted by the selection of Willis in the 1st round, after Travis gave his heart and soul to the team his first 3 years.
  12. I looked-up Champ Bailey's contract, and he got $6M to sign and another $12M in option/buyout bonuses. So all Bowlen had to shell-out initially was $6M plus his 1st year salary ($1M). I think that's doable. And his cap hit that first year was just $1.86M.
  13. I did a double-take when I first saw Bill mention this, but realized he was talking about Gandy.
  14. The Titans have a lot of players who have been playing under Fisher for years. This is the Bills' 1st year under Marv, Jauron, and co.
  15. I would have taken my chances with a 45-yard kick than that abortion of a final play. But in any case, with the performance of the defense today, the Bills would have had NO chance to beat Baltimore next week, meaning there would have been no playoffs this year. Still sucks losing to the breasts though.
  16. The defense ultimately lost the game, but NOT kicking the FG was a huge mistake IMHO.
  17. This is it simply: the Bills, Pats, Broncos, and Dolphins need to win this weekend, and all the Bills need to do is win next weekend to get in. This is the scenario we want since it allows the Bills to control their own destiny in week 17. And all 4 of the games THIS weekend favor the teams we want to win. So pull for that. In addition, pull for the Colts, Chargers, and Steelers to win. That way the Ravens lose a chance at a 1st round bye and have nothing to play for next weekend.
  18. For which site: USA Today or NFLPA?
  19. Where did you look him up? If it was the NFLPA site, you have to click his name to get his salary history. If it was the USA Today site, tell me where so I can use it properly.
  20. I dare! Besides, I looked-up Jason Peters and only got info from 2004 and 2005. I think that site is useful for looking-up PAST salaries and bonuses (boni?), but won't give you future salaries/contact lengths.
  21. Forget 'em both. Not worth it.
  22. Try this instead: http://nflpa.org/Resources/ActivePlayerSearch.aspx
  23. I'd rather have Jax lose tomorrow. I don't have enough faith in KC to put them away at home although I think they will (since they'll be playing for a playoff spot as well, assuming they win tonight, which they better!).
  24. He's "gloating about money?"
