  1. I agree. Maybe make him active, but don't play him unless needed, which isn't likely. THe 49'ers suck, big time.
  2. The credit card deals are free, since they usually don't have an annual fee. Seems like the others are mostly free, as long as you cancel just after the free trial period.
  3. $20 saved is $20 earned.
  4. Yeah, Brady's REAL words talked about how "we made a lot of mistakes." Sounds like the same old finger-pointing-when-things-aren't-going-great Brady to me.
  5. If you click on the 2nd link, you'll see that if you sign up, bm will get a little lovin'.
  6. What are the offers, and how many "Friends" do you have to sign-up? I did one of those things where I get a free Doom 3 for signing up for a Platinum Visa card. I just sent in the certificate and hopefully will be getting the game soon.
  7. Ouch, that's a big blow. But Abraham likely will be healthy by the Pro Bowl. The problem is the Jets might not make the playoffs.
  8. Evans with 18.1 YPC and 7 TD's is just insane! And he wasn't even a big part of the offense initially.
  9. It's no less a popularity contest allowing the fans to vote, and the problem is you can't control people from voring over and over. That's the biggest problem with it. And how many games do fans see every week? Two, maybe 3?
  10. Another country heard from. The Dols game proved that if you get pressure on Brady and score on his defense, he'll have bad games as well. Go figure!
  11. I'd like to know who wins when you remove the fan votes. The only votes that should matter are the players and coaches. Certain teams have larger fan bases, and they can vote over and over again.
  12. Actually it had a LOT more to do than you care to admit. Bottom line, Bledsoe 1 TD, 0 INT's or TO's. That after missing 4 months of the season and coming off the bench cold. And his 10 points are 3 less than Brady's in the SB, against a weaker defense at a neutral site. Yes it's true that Drew's TD didn't give them the lead. But Brady wasn't responsible for them getting the lead, was he? True. They would have lost with Damon Huard entering the game.
  13. Why damn? It's too bad for JD, although he still gets his money for the year. But Bradford Banta long-snapped flawlessly last weekend. I'm just happy that Willis wasn't put on there! :phew:
  14. Brady played like a rookie against the Dolphins, a 2-win team. He got pressure in his face and made horrible decisions. So you see, he's not unflappable and can't "just win" all by himself. I'm curious to see what the Jets have in-store for him this weekend!
  15. Yes and Brady's stats in the Rams SB were MVP-worthy, or even SB-winning worthy, right? Sure. It's called getting the job done, and the team as a whole obviously played a part in the win. Drew didn't turn the ball over, despite the "almosts" and led the team to 10 points. Without those 10 points, or even the TD he threw, the Pats tie or lose. Capiche? And it's not like Brady scored any points when he was in, or could return to the game.
  16. I took a fresh look at Brady's dismal performance the other night. To me it looked like what people have been bashing Drew about at times. You see, Brady felt the pressure coming at him and didn't have faith in his defense to bail him out, so it looked like he took it upon himself to win the game. But he couldn't. Now some idiot Pats fans will blame Weis for calling pass plays and spare Tommy Boy, but wouldn't the great Tom Brady haved CHANGED those plays if he didn't think they were the right calls? And it still doesn't excuse his incredibly poor decision-making.
  17. It also leads to bogus SB MVP's.
  18. Thank you Mickey, for saving me some time. I opened another page for NFL.com's gamebook in order to go through each drive, but I read your post and closed that page. As for Drew's stats, how long did it take him to get them compared to the HOF'ers?
  19. Saban is reportedly angling for the Aints job. The problem is that there is a Jan 1st deadline (for some reason I forget) and the Aints' season ends Jan 2nd. So the Aints would need to can Haslett prior to the end of the regular season.
  20. Mort obviously doesn't appreciate irony. If the Texans don't do the job for the Bills against the Jags, the Raiders will SURELY beat the Jags thanks to some lousy ref calls. And then I can finally say "sometimes it DOES even out.!
  21. Nope. Him being under contract for next year works in the Bills' favor, since the interested team will know that the Bills don't NEED to trade him. And Henry will get a new deal from a new team in any case, so that doesn't make a difference.
  22. What a joke. First of all, the first series saw the Bills see the Bengals stack the box. They needed to adjust. Their 2nd drive ended with a fumble by Evans when he switched hands, and that gave the Bengals a short field to work with for their TD drive. When the Bills needed it, they scored a TD on the next possession to tie the game. Then on the next Bengals drive, Peters blocks the punt and scores a TD to put them ahead by 7. Then on the next Bengals drive Spikes returns an INT for a TD, to put them ahead by 14. At that point the object was to play it conservatively and NOT screw up. Nothing more, nothing less.
  23. Henry will get the Bills at least a 2nd rounder, possibly even a conditional 1st depending on how he does next year. With the Colts looking to franchise Edge and RW not coming back, the only other top RB is Alexander. There is a big market for good RB's this coming year, and Henry will be in-demand because of his productivity, age, and salary. Anything lower and he's not going anywhere.
  24. I need the tweaks to make FireFox faster with a broadband connection. Thanks.
  25. You guys are missing the point with him and his website. They're trying to get people to go there and read his stuff, so they can pay the Bills. The more you go there, the more money they make, and the more reason there is to keep him. Ignore him, send an e-mail to his supes that you won't go back BECAUSE of him, and the problem will get solved more surely than going there, reading his stuff and then complaining every week.
