  1. It was time for Damon Huard 2 quarters ago. And that 2nd INT by Law wasn't caught.
  2. I'm glad the Bills didn't sign Shaffer. Same for Wells.
  3. KFFL.com is reporting that the Vikes won't spend much in FA this year. Considering they're a bad team, that can't be heartening to guys like Fat Pat.
  4. I'd say at least 3 more. Take your pick from among New England, Detroit, Indianapolis, San Diego or Tennessee.
  5. Not necessarily. There are enough national fans of the Boys, Giants, and Broncos and regional fans of the Bengals and Ravens to sellout the games with rival fans.
  6. BB: I don't know who proposed it. It could just as easily have been her parents asking if there were a way to keep her a more manageable size and the doctor giving suggestions that would need to be run by an ethics board. As to whether the things done to her were ethical just because an ethics board approved them, that's a philosophical question and on the order of whether the girl is being harmed by this (i.e. we'll never know). Suffice it to say that it's unfortunate no matter what you believe.
  7. No, he chose to take the money and run. As CP said, the Bills offered him a similar deal, but with less upfront money.
  8. The AFC is better. If you're pulling your usual joke here crayonz, so be it. If you're serious, you're WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!! Again ganesh's #1 point from the 2nd post says it all. The better conference will win more games because they have better teams.
  9. Probably true. But he would definitely have helped THIS year, and the Bills had the cap room.
  10. Fat Pat could have helped the Bills win than he has helped the Vikes.
  11. The less upfront represented a hometown discount to the team that gave him a chance as an UDFA. But Fat Pat decided to be a greedy sumbiyatch. Hopefully the additional upfront money was worth the losing in Minny and getting beaten beaten by the Bills this year.
  12. The Bears lost their chance to win the SB when Tommie Harris went down. The dropoff in the defense was startling after he was lost. So given that, I'd say that they have to stick with Grossman, because Griese is a known commodity. Maybe if the defense were as good as it was in the beginning of the year you might give Griese a chance, but not now.
  13. I hear you. But it's nice to see that Lee proved himself as a #1 WR. Now if they could just get him some help.
  14. I'd say not much since Thurman usually averaged about 3.9 YPC.
  15. BTW, Peters got consideration for all-pro from Dr. Z, but he felt he wasn't mean enough. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=Ant0...i&type=lgns
  16. It was a committee that approved of doing these things. And no blinding a child doesn't help anyone, nor does amputating a limb. Keeping the weight down in this manner is the extent to which you'd go. And again, keeping her at a manageable size when she has no chance at a normal like makes it easier for her caregivers to properly feed, clothe, bathe, and control her.
  17. yeah, but besides all that, it's still good to see someone in the national media who is well respected around the league, give credit to a guy who definetly deserves it. Idk how we found Peters, but the person/scout/coach who did, is a genius in my book! That's right, I forgot about King's vote in the AP poll, so you're right, it does carry weight. I wonder if they sit around a table and discuss it, like they do for the HOF? If so, he might be able to convince a majority of them to make him an AP all-pro, which would be cool. And Whitner, I think the bluster was about how some people slam King for making predictions, and that that should invalidate his critique of players. I've always said that the "experts" are no better than any of use when it comes to making predictions, but that they know how to evaluate players' performances and give some inside info.
  18. According to NFL.com, he's staying with the organization. I heard elsewhere that he's stepping-down, which would make Shefter wrong.
  19. Yeah, I don't see the point in releasing guys like Preston, Everett, and Wilson. They cost almost nothing and thus save almost nothing. But there is upside there. As for Kelsay and Fletch, likely gone unless they agree to modest deals. Same with Davis.
  20. How much weight does Peter King's all-pro list carry? I know there's an AP all-pro. But even still, it's cool to see Peters' name mentioned like that. And I agree about Gandy. His problems in Chicago were with injuries, but he was also probably too weak.
  21. One could argue that "the easy way out" would have been to abort her or put her in a group home and forgotten about her. Letting her reach full-size, when her chances of leading a normal life are zero, would do more harm to her than good since she wouldn't be able to be properly cared-for. But I echo your last sentence.
  22. This was discussed before, but yeah, he had Peters as his indisputable all-pro, with Willie Anderson just edging-out Walter Jones. This scary thing is, the kid hasn't even scratched the surface of how good he can be, much less even entered his prime. And how may all-pro LT's do you find in undrafted free agency?
  23. The Bucs gave up 2-1st and 2nd rounders and $8M in cash to the Raiders for Gruden. Cowher would command more. Can't see this happening this year.
  24. I'd say 3rd or 4th round.
  25. Quinn is overrated. And Weis' opinion means squat. The Patriots drafted Rohan Davey in the 4th round 2 years after taking Brady in the 6th round, if that tells you anything about how much he can predict things. And Quinn will be in-line for a HUGE contract as a top pick. No thanks.
