I've had extreme distaste for the Pats for all the calls they've gotten over the years, many at the Bills' expense, and thought their 1st-2 SB wins were mostly ref-aided. That's why I can't stand them. I too am a Yankee fan and hate the Red Sox, but I respected what they did back in 2004.

You are obviously missing my point. It's not a matter of NOT hoping my team improves. It's a matter of NOT wanting to see the Pats win a SB, just because it will somehow magically make the Bills a better team. Like I said, that didn't work the past 5 years, why would it work now? And sorry, I should have said that I would like to see the Pats win another SB as much as I'd like to see the Bills move.

Just because Freeney showed-up against the Chefs doesn't make me think that his season was better than Schobel's, much less more worthy of a Pro Bowl berth. Or that his performances in the playoffs have been like Bruce's in the SB.

The Pats are so stingy with their money, you think they'd want to spend $4M on a player and only have him available for half the season? Only to repeat it again the NEXT year if they tag him?

A player can sit out half the season, play the last half, make half the money, and be free the next year.

Well even still, I doubt the Bills have the WR's to make it succesful. Somehow the Pats sell it very well.
