Ooooh, sorry. Ronnie Brown. Start getting nervous, Denny!

Ask Bryan "Magic 8-ball" Burwell.

I read that Miami and Cleveland will swap 1st rounders, and the Browns will give up their 2nd this year to move up. Let's see if it happens.

I think Bush changed the laws on class-action suits. Or he was going to do so. What a crock that is! -
QB Alex Smith. No surprise.

I'd tell teams a 2nd rounder or nothing. If it's nothing, then I'd wait for a RB to get injured later-on and trade him for a 2nd rounder next year. I doubt Travis will sit-out half the season even just to prove some ridiculous point that actually hurts him if he DOES try to prove it.

Home Improvement: Regrouting Floor
MadBuffaloDisease replied to MadBuffaloDisease's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm going to use the KISS method. I plan on removing grout that is broken and regrout those areas with my old grout color/gray mixture. I think that to prospective buyers, broken/missing grout is more noticeable than a slight color difference. -

Take your pick. They were horrible in both years. -

It was probably 2000, which was the last season of the Pete Carroll error. -
Home Improvement: Regrouting Floor

If that's the thing that has a handle and shaft connected to a blade with burrs on one side of it, that's what I used last time. Great. Yeah they left a good amount of it. The problem though is that the grout in the floor is dirty, so it's not completely the original color. I was thinking of adding some gray grout to it (the original grout is rose-colored) to make it look dirty. I'm going to test it on a small area, but even if it doesn't match totally, it's still better than broken grout, like it is now in many areas. I'm not looking forward to it either. -
Don't be upset when Henry goes for...

I'd definitely do that deal, assuming the conditional pick can go all the way to a 1st rounder with the necessary production. -
We've decided to sell our house, have an agent, and are trying to fix things up. I have tile floors that I've need to regrout for years, but didn't because the little guys are dropping stuff on them left and right. Well the time is now to do something about it, and I'm not dropping several grand when just regrouting would be fine. So for any DIY'ers, what is the best tool to remove old grout quickly? Any tips on regrouting? I've tried regrouting the bathroom and it took a ton of time to get rid of the old grout, and regrout it. I'm hoping to avoid that this time around. Thanks in advance.

Trading following years first rounder?
MadBuffaloDisease replied to brihs2005's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It cost the Bills a 2nd and 5th last year, plus this year's 1st to get the 22nd overall last draft, which they used on JP, so it would take more than next year's 1st and 4th in most years. This year may be different since teams are looking to trade out of the 1st round. I think with QB's it's not a bad move since it gives them a year in the system, and considering that Aaron Rodgers is thought of so little that he may drop all the way to #24 (GB, whereas if people thought much of him he wouldn't make it past TB's first pick at #5)), I think the Bills made the right move in trading up to get JP last year. -
I think the Bills are hoping for either Castillo or Hawthorne to fall to them with their 3rd round pick, so I don't see a DT being picked with the 55th pick, much less a higher pick if they trade up.
-
No. There's a reason the 49'ers want to trade out of the top spot, namely because no player in this draft is worth paying 1st overall money. So besides the cash it would take to get the 1st overall, you have to figure it will take every pick in this draft plus next year's 1st rounder at least.

Andre deserved it. I mean, how could he NOT know that Jimbo's presence was supposed to automatically elevate the level of his play and make those INT's into receptions? -

TD will hold fast. Once the 1st round finishes and the best RB's are off the board, teams will come calling. -

Obviously that strategy hasn't been working for you, so I'll take a pass, thankyouverymuch. Pot, meet kettle. Notice color similarity. Either it's all about the QB, or it isn't. Jimbo has a lot of blame to bear for the Bills' failures in the SB, and again like I said, his lead was followed by many on the team. Bury your head in the sand a little more if you like, I'm just stating the facts. Oh and I liked Jimbo a lot more than I liked Drew, but I was pissed-off when I learned about him partying into the wee hours on the morning of EVERY SB, and realized his selfishness is what helped cost the Bills a title. -
You will soon be assimilated.

Does the Surtain Deal Trigger ...
MadBuffaloDisease replied to Mark VI's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It would have to be a blockbuster deal to get Nate. IMHO you keep him for a cheap rate for this year and hope he stays healthy and has a "contract year," FP him next year when every team will get a huge bump in the salary cap, and trade him when his value is at its highest. Surtain will be 29 before the start of this year, and next year Nate would be 3 months shy of 27, so he'd net the Bills a 1st rounder. -
If what John Clayton just said is true
MadBuffaloDisease replied to Rudyc80's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Again, the original trade was Henry for Shelton and swap of 2nd's. The swap of 2nd's is worth the 2nd pick of the 4th round, points-wise. It's pretty much apparent that the Bills don't think much of Shelton, think they can get him without trading and less than $3M a year because they believe the Cards will release him, or don't think that he's worth the (points) difference between the 11th pick of the 3rd round and the 2nd pick of the 4th round (with the difference being the value of the swap of 2nd's, i.e. 2nd pick of the 4th round). -

MadBuffaloDisease replied to RunTheBall's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah I'm sure in all of Jimbo's time in Buffalo the Bills never played a similar 11 game stretch, back in the days before parity. Yep, REAL hard to "get others around [you] to elevate their play" when they're already great players. I mean, guys like Thurman, Andre, Lofton, MetzMcKellar were REAL slugs who needed to be motivated by Jimbo. Hell about the ONLY player I wish would have elevated his play was Jimbo himself in the SB's, mainly by NOT drinking heavily the night before/morning of the big game. It was his lead that also made a lot of the other players do the same. -

If you want to compare apples to apples, that was JK's 7th year of pro ball (he played 2 years in the USFL which spanned 3 years in the NFL). Drew's 7th year was 1999. And I can't recall Jimbo, despite his amazing O-line and the talent around him, being sacked less than 1.5 times in an 11-game span, namely with Thurman in the backfield. Oh and Drew spun out of trouble several times, only to have receivers drop the ball or player run the wrong routes, etc. Sure Drew is on the tail-end of his career and not what JK was in his prime, but let's not overstate the greatness of the team around JK, or the fact that he never QB'd the Bills to a SB win, mainly because he was always up partying hard the night before. -
