  1. As is known, he's been working on speed training, so I'm sure he's less heavy and faster than he was. I doubt he was going full-speed in mini-camp and I doubt they'll have him run the 40-yard.
  2. So do I. I think the defense may suffer a slight let-down, but I can still see them being a top-10 defense. I also see the ST's being as good, if not better. And the O-line should be improved and Willis should have his speed back, plus the addition of Parrish's speed in the slot, and I see the offense improving even though they have a 1st-time starter. Maybe not playoffs, but certainly not bottom half of the league.
  3. They're not the best team "by far." They won the SB by 3 points, mostly because the Eagles as a team had a collective brain fart when trying to run a 2-minute drill. And they've suffered a LOT of losses, most notably from the coaching standpoint. Sure it's easy to say "well they're the champs until proven otherwise," but this miracle ride has got to end, and considering they failed to make the playoffs in 2002, I'd say that it's a good bet that they won't win the SB this year and that they'll be hard-pressed to duplicate their past success. No team has sustained the success this long in the non-salary cap era, outside of the Steelers, but they were able to keep their team wholly intact.
  4. If they Bills DID pursue Shelton, they wouldn't be offering more than $1M a year. The coaches don't care for him and it wouldn't make sense to give him a lot of money if the coaches don't feel he's even starter material. But on the cheap, he'd be worth a look-see. It all depends on the market for him, and his market value was hurt by his contract and his being no better than average (but with the Cardinals and their coaching staff). I also think the Bills' starter at LT is on the roster, and I'm thinking that with JP's mobility, they'll compensate for a less-than-Jonas performance from the new starting LT, if that happens.
  5. Prisco is a fool. Yeah, no losses at all, just the additions of all-pros like Terrell and Starks. Crennel, Weis, Patten, Brown, Law, and Phifer are all gone, and Bruschi will probably sit out the year, but they've only improved.
  6. I thought I was pretty clear above, but my previously bookmarked URL that had a problem just recently was "http://twobillsdrive.com" and after adding in the "www." and making it "http://www.twobillsdrive.com" it worked. Previously I had the "www..." URL bookmarked and got the "test" page, and had to remove it to get it to work.
  7. That shouldn't be a concern. Had Everett not blown-out his knee, he'd be getting a roster spot. So Lewis would basically take Everett's spot. If he's recovered from his foot injury, I'd sign him, for a reasonable amount that is.
  8. I got it. I had to put "www." between "http://" and "twobillsdrive." Previously I had it with the "www" and had to remove it to get it to work. Strange.
  9. Angelo had maybe one good draft and FA signing period, and the rest has been crap. I'm amazed the idiot still has a job. As for Gandy, some media members in Chicago said that Gandy was a decent LT who had injury problems. And I'd add the Bears have had crap coaching for years.
  10. The Browns should go after every penny they can contractually recoup. As has been said, Winslow and his agents were total dickheads in negotiations and they agreed to the conditions, like not riding a motorcycle. You risk alienating the player, but it sounds like Winslow's career is never going to get off the ground.
  11. This story makes me dis-custard (funnier if imagined with Bahstun accent).
  12. He could be dyslexic for all we know. Or he doesn't know test taking strategies (because he has a bad agent). And IQ tests are culturally biased and not the only measure of intelligence. Whatever, if he can play, and carries himself well, I don't care if he's Karl Childers. That 9 wonderlic that Peters got last year didn't stop him from making key plays on ST's now, did it?
  13. "Methinks..." Seriously though, I don't know how JP will do, but he has the physical tools, the mentality, and the work ethic. He also has some excellent coaches. Those are great foundations from which to build.
  14. I was disappointed just after this draft. I was high on Everett (and now I'm disappointed with that turn of events), but I thought Parrish was too small, King was a nobody, and I'd never heard of the OL prospects or the RB. Then I heard about how McNally was very happy with the draft (read: OL picks), and about how Parrish and King looked at the weekend camp. Then to hear the reports on the so-called 1st round pick from this year, JP, I think things are going to be alright. And if the Bills hit on a an UDFA or three, so much the better.
  15. Good point. There will be NO GOOD PLAYER who come out of the 2nd day of this draft. It will be wholly unique in that respect. Uh, because of McNally. I've read the reports on Preston and Geisinger and think they'll be quality starters. I also think that Gudmundsen has to have some talent, if McNally was keeping tabs on him for years. I was hoping the Bills would get Peppers.
  16. True, it was Anderson. Didn't look all that fat to me, but the carpet hides about 50#, or so they say.
  17. Ehhh, not so fast. Luckily the draft is more than just the 1st 120 picks. I can see Parrish and King being impact players, and within the "it takes 3 years to judge..." timeperiod, I'm expecting Preston, Geisinger, and Gudmundsen to be starters and good players. Gause might be a find as well.
  18. Been there, done that, with getting to the playoffs. I want a SB win. Only 2 GM's have done that since TD came to Buffalo.
  19. Hopefully Overstreet isn't a Rosenhaus-in-waiting.
  20. No one has ever disputed that fact.
  21. You got this from Mularkey's rookie season as HC where he had a rookie (Euhus) still learning the ropes and another guy who wasn't looked-to too much by Bledsoe?
  22. Yes, what part of Regina are you in?
