  1. McNally knows what he's doing. If the Bills would rather go with Gandy over Shelton, so be it. The option has been and still IS there to pickup Shelton (and there was also an opportunity to draft Barnes), and if the Bills don't pull the trigger, it means they don't think much of him.
  2. Overall I liked the storyline. I don't know if I believe that the Emperor had designs on Anakin since his birth, but I do believe that he had a hand in the events in Anakin's life that made him want to turn to the Dark Side to a point. To have been able to orchestrate everything seems a little far-fetched and beyond the Emperor's powers, from what I saw in the prequels (i.e. if he could direct the flow of events, he wouldn't ever run into resistance). And I'll admit that the inconsistencies or conveniencies could be explained in that Lucas didn't have enough time to include explanations/needed scenes in this movie (like Padme appearing pregnant in her coffin, to throw-off the Sith, even though I chalked that up to just being fat from pregnancy). However I still think the original trilogy stands alone, and I plan on showing my boys that first, when they get to about 6 years old, because the characters are so much more real and developed, and the whole "I am your father" thing is what makes the trilogy. Seeing the new trilogy and going into the old trilogy knowing that Vader is Luke's father takes away from it, IMHO. And that way, you look at the new trilogy as a "how did he become Vader" type of thing. Sorry, she's an only-child. Too bad too because she's beautiful (my co-workers have told me that, BTW) and has attractive parents, so I'm sure her siblings would have been as well.
  3. Didn't Larry Brown coach Reggie Miller?
  4. I saw the movie this afternoon with the wife as she surprised me by sending the kids to the grandparents, made lunch reservations prior to the movie, and looked up movie times. I knew I married her for a reason! And I think there were more than a few inconsistencies that lead me to believe that Lucas went one story at a time and mapped-out the first trilogy well, but didn't have a detailed idea of what was going to happen in the new trilogy until it came time to write them. Then he had to contort things to fit the original trilogy. I think that Obi Wan should have been training Luke all along, and that they would have never given him the "Skywalker" surname if they were truly trying to hide him.
  5. I saw a promo with her and she DID look anorexic.
  6. That's what I was thinking (i.e. that he'd be suspended for at least a year for retiring after a 3rd failed drug test), but the NFL worked out a deal with him so that he'd just miss 4 games. Remember they were going to allow him to serve that suspension at the end of LAST year, but he didn't file his papers in time. What a fuggin' joke! He should have been suspended for life for admitting to using a masking agent.
  7. Yeah, I doubt they get much, considering RW has to sit-out 4 games. And has he even filed for reinstatement yet?
  8. I've heard he's cheap with tips. But if that's the worst...
  9. She's not worth $11K in the sack. She looks kind of LB'erish in some of the photos.
  10. Is there any way to send them a virus or worm through those e-mails, to destroy their whole network?
  11. I looked. Moss played-in 12 games and demanded his usual extra attention in all of them, even when hobbled because he was still a threat to burn you. He missed 4 games. In those 4 games, Burleson had 1 really good game (GB in November, where he had 11 catches fof 141 yards and a TD, but Jermaine Wiggins had 6 catches for 94 yards and a TD, for comparison's sake), but the other 3 he had 12 catches for 113 yards and 2 TD's. That would be like saying that Lee will improve upon last year's numbers if Eric is gone. Is anyone willing to admit that?
  12. I hope you're kidding. As I said in another thread, Burleson is going to struggle without Moss absorbing most of the attention. And that will have a ripple effect throughout the offense. If anyone thinks that the Vikes' offense will be BETTER without Moss, they're seriously deluded.
  13. Yeah, Lee's play in the 2nd half of the season was like Peerless' play in his 4th (contract) season. And Moulds was still in his prime when Peerless was a rookie, as well as back in 2002 and he looks to be in decline, so that's even more impressive on Lee's part. I look forward to some great things from Lee, and if Roscoe can do half as well, the Bills will be pretty formidable this year.
  14. The Cards got a running back, one who cost them a 2nd round pick and is WHOLLY unproven. That's about all you can say right now. I guess to some, potential is better than someone proven but not perfect. We'll see who was right, but the Cards already released Shelton, and relying on a rookie RB is NEVER a good situation, while at worst Travis is a good backup for 6 games this year.
  15. Hey, I like that song! Brings back good memories.
  16. The Vikes need a STARTING RB. Currently they have a stable of them.
  17. Burleson will be hard-pressed to duplicate last year, without Moss absorbing most of the attention. Williamson may prove to be a good player, but he hasn't proven anything and is just a rookie.
  18. He meant LT L.J. Shelton from the Cards, who the Bills could have potentially acquired from the Cards for trading Travis.
  19. The problem is, children of great players rarely if ever even approach the level of their parents. Add attitude problems and now injury (I always thought he was an injury risk, with those toothpick legs of his), and his career will likely never get on-track.
  20. More like it pays to be born beautiful.
  21. Good god! We're even getting screwed over by COMPUTERS!
  22. They also believed that every one of their 1st round picks (high ones at that) since their inception had huge talent. That doesn't say a whole lot.
  23. Yeah, let Woody put up his own money, or have the NFL pitch-in some bucks. Doesn't sound like good news for the Jets and their new stadium hopes.
  24. Our sources tell us that Florio's book is a "turd" and that he should have "shut the *#$* up and never smeared his mental diarrhea on an innocent white page, much less several hundred.
  25. What an idiot. I'm seriously beginning to think his career will never get-off the ground, so to speak. If I were the Browns, I'd take that stance and go after the bonus money, because who cares if you alienate a player who probably won't amount to much?
