  1. First of all, do we KNOW that's Willis? Second of all, what's the difference between that and what JP does at night, except the location?
  2. It was ironic to hear the guys who blasted Henry for nailing that 15-year old lusting after jailbait (i.e. when she was "hot") like Lohan. Like you, I never got the fascination with a cute minor with a big rack (the minor thing kills it for me), and how she's legal and ugly.
  3. To put into even MORE perspective, Parrish as a slot WR=MUCH better than a mid-2nd round rookie LT from a weak draft protecting JP's blindside.
  4. True. We'll see how it all shakes out, but I still say he doesn't get over $2M a year.
  5. Interesting that Willis is working out down there with Portis.
  6. I'm going back on word about being done with this thread to address that article. Here is the quote from Mara that tells it all:
  7. Snyder owes Wilson nothing, true. Wilson owes Snyder even LESS, though. And if a compromise isn't reached, the majority of the owners (i.e. a good chunk of the 75% who need to pass a new CBA) will vote against the currently proposed CBA, and Danny Boy can expect an uncapped year in 2007 (probably his ONLY chance at a SB ring with the Redskins) and a lockout in 2008, that will suck huge sums of money from his pocket. That's why he should worry about Wilson and the other smaller market owners. Again Snyder and Jones are nothing without the NFL. It's not like they can break-away from the NFL and still expect to make money. And they can put logos on their asses and parade them in-front of people if they want, but it will be almost impossible to determine what revenue such things will bring to the NFL. Maybe merchandise, but that's already shared. It certainly won't improve ticket sales, since both have waiting lists for tickets. I'm done with this thread. I can only say the same things over and over again. The bottom line is Snyder and Jones are looking to ruin the NFL for their own personal gain. Wilson and others won't let that happen. Sorry. Deal with it.
  8. I read an article in the newspaper just last weekend about it. Hopefully that's true because it's BS.
  9. On a related rant, I can't believe that Medicare pays for Viagra! Moreover known sex offenders have had their Viagra paid-for. WTF?
  10. This is ALL in response to the proposed new CBA where all revenue will be subject to the salary cap but not shared equally. Better to fire a pre-emptive strike than agree to a rotten deal and then see the effects. And it's plainly obvious that the lower-revenue teams will NOT be able to compete under the new CBA, so again a pre-emptive strike is necessary. Why that's so hard to see, I cannot understand. Oh and again, Ralph isn't proposing that all owners make the same money. Just that all teams are able to spend up to the new cap limit without going into debt. The Redskins will still make gobs of money for Snyder, they just won't be able to outspend all the other clubs and be able to potentially field a better team. If that happens, it will be JUST like MLB with the Yanks and Sox. They don't call him "Snyderbrenner" for no reason.
  11. Re-read what I wrote above about individual NFL teams being nothing without the NFL. But as far as putting the Redskins logo on a NASCAR car, what kind of revenue are they expecting from that and how do you quantify it? Not to mention that owning a NASCAR car involves a huge money committment and is cross-ownership. I don't know, should Malcolm Glazer now put Bucs logos on Manchester U players' uniforms and keep some ill-defined revenue from that?
  12. And the Texans were allegedly going to go hard after him. It means he's asking too much money (I'd figure around what he was scheduled to make) and/or the Texans weren't all that impressed after meeting him.
  13. They'll let any idiot have a show, as long as he's bombastic enough! What the true idiots fail to realize is that, yes owners don't want to lose money. Amazing concept, eh? And while he's not losing money right now, he WILL be if the proposed CBA goes into effect and he either has to spend up to the cap limit, or doesn't spend up to the cap limit and the Bills aren't competitive and thus don't make much in non-shared revenue. What the idiots also fail to realize is that Snyder wouldn't be making money on the Redskins if they weren't associated with the NFL. And every piece of revenue NFL teams GET is because of their association with the NFL. It's that simple. I agree that it shouldn't be a situation where every team makes the same, and that teams should be required to spend a minimum amount on the cap as well as explore every revenue stream (like in Ralph's case, selling the naming rights to RWS), but every team should be able to spend up to the proposed cap limit without losing money since parity is what made the league what it is today. And thankfully the founding fathers (i.e. NOT idiots like Snyder and Jones) required 75% of the owners to agree on proposed changes, so either a plan gets hammered out, or the NFL has an uncapped year in 2007 and a lockout in 2008, and the big markets stand to lose HUGE money if that happens.
  14. The only thing I can think is that since Willis is skipping OTA's (to workout at the "U" with other current and former Miami players), people think he's holding out.
  15. As has been said, many teams went on potential. But now that they've seen their rookies, or now that previously healthy RB's on teams uninterested in a RB in the draft of FA have gotten injured, the price of a starting RB has gone up. Again take a look at what Lamar Gordon cost the Dolphins.
  16. Did I miss something? Did Willis ACTUALLY demand more money, or is this a hypothetical/future thing?
  17. It should be a 3rd that conditionally becomes a 1st depending on performance. Anything less and I say wait for a few more months because more RB's will fall.
  18. I guess having a star on the WOF isn't what it used to be. And what "wacka" said explains it.
  19. Ryan Seacrest got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. And I think he got it several weeks or months ago. That is RIDICULOUS! How did a poseur like him get a star, much less before Renee Zelwegger (who got one today), who actually won an Oscar? Oh the humanity!
  20. I can't believe it! Hayden Christiansen wants to be an architect?! Actually I can. I saw him on Leno I think it was, and he seemed SO disinterested. I didn't think it was nerves totally.
  21. I think a good start is to require all teams to sell naming rights to their stadium. Even though I'd rather keep the name Ralph Wilson Stadium, the reality is that the economics require selling the name to generate more money, and it's only fair IMHO. However if Synder, Jones, et al think they're so great at generating revenue for their teams, they should form a committee to do this for ALL the "lazy stragglers" because that would benefit everyone.
  22. Yeah but McGahee's leg disorder didn't affect him because Moulds took on the double team.
