  1. To get you OFF...of them?
  2. If the defense can stay within the top-5, I think the offense will improve with the additions of Parrish as the 3rd WR and with Losman having mobility to keep opposing defenses on their toes. I also think Willis will be unreal this year, and Lee will continue to develop. Just hope that Euhus and/or Campbell are ready to go from the start of the season!
  3. Did any team sign him? Oh and I think the POS performance was a result of playing too uptight, while the Steelers were loose since it was a throwaway game (and of course the Steelers took the opposite role when playing the Pats at home in the AFCCG).
  4. Women are good grunters. At least the ones I'VE known.
  5. If he shows up for the games, which is what I truly doubt happens, they'll dress him. Why wouldn't they? They'd still have another RB like Williams or Gates in-case he gets put unto a game a purposely screws-up, and then if that happens, they don't dress him again. And then if they can't trade him, they let him become an UFA and possibly receive a draft pick in 2007.
  6. Then again, Reese probably thought HE was worth re-signing as well. Oh well.
  7. I don't know about that. King made that comment about Gandy on Thursday, and the blurb above from billsdaily.com on Saturday essentially says the same thing. That leads me to believe that King talked to Mularkey and/or McNally about the Gandy. I don't think that King would say that Gandy would be a "pleasant surprise" without actually having heard that from someone who was close to the situation, because he was essentially a street FA who "failed" in his time with the Bears, and about whom it would be easier/safer to predict failure.
  8. Why is this national news?! Just kidding. Good to hear.
  9. Here's a little something on Gandy from Saturday's billsdaily.com:
  10. He SHOULD have waited. It would have been the best thing overall for EVERYONE involved.
  11. Or hopefully a rookie starter and Teague as the backup.
  12. I'm thinking of adopting Hillary Duff.
  13. I'm looking for some press-on bullet holes, so I can be LA chic!
  14. Uh, where did my post in this thread go?
  15. The original WotW was done way back before today's high-tech SFX. I think it was a good choice to be remade.
  16. And WHAT has Jordan proven have been worthy of a deal that will pay him $11M in guaranteed money, and make him almost $18M over the first 3 years of the contract? That's right, NOTHING, compared to Travis. But bully for the Raiders, they didn't have to give up a precious 3rd round pick for him.
  17. I've been there. Sorry for your loss. Every day gets a little better.
  18. You mean a team doesn't receive additional money since it's an extra draft pick? Otherwise it would seem to be almost impossible to do.
  19. What "it" is, is the ability (read: speed and agility) to scramble and get out of trouble. But that can also be a double-edged sword, a la Vick, who takes a ton of sacks and exposes himself to injury because he believes that he CAN scramble to get out of trouble.
  20. First of all, as per the title of the thread, Peter King was talking about Gandy, not Dr. Z. Second of all, I doubt EITHER would have made that comment based pretty much on nothing, seeing as how Gandy hasn't played LT in a couple years and considering he was bounced by Chicago, but instead would have gotten that from the source: McNally himself. Finally, who cares what Chicago did with him? Their O-line coach was crap and he though Pete Kendall was expendable when he moved onto Arizona last year.
  21. They'd do the individual caps because even though it still makes it harder for the smaller markets to compete, it prevents teams from losing money during the season. It would be great if the cap were tied to total revenues, but I doubt it will be.
  22. It's nice to hear, but these sports reporters can't predict the future any better than any of us can. Their biggest contributions are getting inside scoops from the teams. Hopefully King got from McNally that he was pleased with Gandy at LT and/or got to see him in action, which is entirely possible. As for him predicting Willis to win the rushing title, again that's speculation, and while he's not alone in saying that, I won't be disappointed in Willis if he doesn't win it, just as long as he builds off-of last year and proves to be an offensive weapon. And as for JP, again it's a prediction on his part, but as I've been saying, he's got all the physical tools, seems intelligent, and has been working his ass off to prepare, and that's what you want to see. Hopefully it will all translate into wins come the season.
  23. No, I didn't think they'd redo the series, considering it only came out 15 years ago. I guess Hollywood HAS run out of new ideas. But I guess they did a good job with the remake, and some would say improved it.
