  1. I don't think he will either, and I'm not expecting HIM to lead the Bills into the playoffs. I'm expecting a total team effort.
  2. Looking at Drew's stats from last year (and I was a supporter of his), he averaged 1.25 TD's, 1 INT, and 183.25 yards a game, while throwing for a 56.9% completion rate. Those numbers don't seem too unreachable.
  3. It's not. I'd have been more worried if a surgeon used his hand to cut the layer of cornea off. But instead it was a machine that can do it with much more precision.
  4. I don't have a problem with what RW said about JP struggling: it was trying to make it sound like he'll suck so bad that Robinson will get 2 INT's off of him in the season opener. And again, if the O-line can open holes for Willis, and the defense and ST's come to play, JP won't be a major factor.
  5. Well, that's how it appears. But your eyes are "splitting wide open" and you don't feel any pain. And most places give you a valium (or 3) to take before the procedure. Oh and as far as the scalpel, the place I went to had a device that used suction to attach to the eyeball and use a cutting machine, not a traditional scalpel.
  6. You think he could have afforded a parachute!
  7. Good point. No 47-yard, potentially SB-winning, FG attempts on grass for Roscoe!
  8. All we know is it's cursed for QB's. Let's just hope that he doesn't throw any option passes!
  9. I'd put more credence into what he said IF he's seen JP perform in mini-camp or OTA's, but he hasn't. I think he's also seriously discounting the defense, ST's, and surrounding offense, who will all help him take the burden off of his shoulders.
  10. Like with any medical procedure, there are no guarantees, there are risks, and there are bad outcomes. That's why choosing a good surgeon is THE most important thing (and it would help if detox told everyone where he lived). I speak for myself when I say it's worth it, even though I have to have an "enhancement" done since my astigmatism was so bad (that the nearsightedness wasn't fully corrected the first time). And it sounds like a lot of people on the board have had it done without any problems, so at least in this small sampling, it's success rate is pretty high. If there are any people who have had it (recently) and had a bad outcome, do tell.
  11. You know what they say. Opinions are like, well, Rod Woodson in this case.
  12. What threats to hold out? He needs to start/play a whole season and put up monster numbers before he starts thinking about holding-out.
  13. The "pay regular price for 2, get the 3rd eye free" deals are the best.
  14. Yeah, do NOT go to a doctor just because he/she is the cheapest.
  15. Not to mention injury-prone.
  16. Jones is at best a FB. Toefield isn't a starting-caliber RB. And Pearman is a 4th round rookie who COULD be a gem, but expecting him to be one is about as smart as hoping Taylor is at 100% to start the season. Without Taylor or another strong RB, the Jags aren't going very far. I still think that they (and the Titans) expect the Bills to release Travis at some point, and I think that when training camp rolls around and their running game looks pretty week, they'll come calling with a good (read: 3rd rounder) offer.
  17. Give me a guy who is not as talented (and in this case, it's at best a slight difference in talent between Willis and the other guys, which means that Willis is still supremely talented) and a harder worker than a more talented guy who is lazy, anyday.
  18. He might be ready for the season opener...but he won't be close to 100%. Good luck with the season, Jags!
  19. "The chances of anything coming from Mars, are a million to one...but still, they come!" I remember my uncle had that on 8-track and I loved listening to it.
  20. While at UM, Portis told Willis that he'll never be as good as him. He might have even told him he'll never be a good RB.
  21. What show is this?
  22. Interesting. I guess he and Portis buried the hatchet.
  23. The Bengals will have a tough time with the Steelers, Ravens, and even the Browns with what should be better coaching, in their division. I just don't see them getting into the playoffs until they prove they can beat those teams. As for the Bills and LT, McNally thinks that Gandy will succeed. That's fine by me. And as for Drew, even though I was/am a supporter of his, he only had 2 games that I'd consider outstanding from a statistical standpoint (Rams and 2nd Miami game), whereas he had 4 really bad games (but one of which the Bills won).
  24. What is acceptable as a tip? I usually give a dollar a bag.
