  1. Actually it's Brady's TEAM that separates him from the rest. Put Manning on the Pats and Brady on the Colts and see how many SB rings each has. Make Brady face Belichick in the playoffs and see how HE looks. Although now Manning has killed any chance of a SB thanks to his ridiculous salary. Here's hoping the Bills can field a TEAM like the Pats did.
  2. That game was on the last day of my Disney trip. I just wanted to leave there immediately.
  3. Thankfully. Although a colleague of mine who knows some union construction workers says that they think that once Michael Bloomberg gets re-elected, the stadium WILL go up. Take that for what it's worth, but I hope that it's as dumb as it sounds.
  4. 1+1=... Most definitely. Like I've said several times, the Bills should just sit and wait. It's not like Taylor and Brown will heal before the start of training camp, so no reason to panic and deal Travis for a lowball draft pick. And at least in Taylor's case, he likely won't be ready to start the season and for sure won't be playing during training camp, so at worst the Jags are a fallback option. But as training camp opens, more RB's are likely to go down.
  5. Trade Travis to the Jags. Without a running game, Leftwich will struggle and they'll go nowhere.
  6. That's quite an assumption. I'd submit however that having a new O-line coach, 2 new starters (Villy and the LG's), and Big Mike showing-up to camp fat and distracted were things that set the O-line back, and by the end of the season they were getting their stuff together. I didn't mean to imply that me response above was directed at you, but at the "national observers" who don't know as much about the team as the Bills' coaches, namely McNally, do. Remember McNally didn't have as much to work with in NJ, but produced a good O-line.
  7. Yeah, they tried to address it with Everett, but what can you do?
  8. I'm sure they'd now say that they'll be able to replace him, although not in so many words. They're all (still) buds.
  9. But, but, but but...I thought he was as dumb as a pet rock and couldn't learn ANY playbook, ever? I agree. Hold onto him for as long as possible and watch to see what other RB's go down. Brown and Taylor won't miraculously get better and stay healthy, so their teams are fallbacks at worst.
  10. Why, because the LT spot is "questionable?" Dumb logic, IMHO. The OC, RG, and RT spots return wholly intact, ready to build off-of last year. At LG is a player who is a dominant run-blocker and a definite upgrade over what the Bills had there last year. And McNally thinks enough of Gandy to believe he'll have success at LT. Moreover there are things the Bills can do, thanks to JP's mobility, to alleviate some of the problems they MAY have at LT. But let's wait until the pre-season starts, at the very least.
  11. The NFL "experts" are no more able to predict the future than any of us. And they never revisit their predictions and admit they were wrong on most of them.
  12. People who are offended by Hendrix's version of TSSB either don't understand it, or heard a lousy rendition of it, if not both. BTW I love it on U2's "Rattle and Hum" where they play the beginning of Hendrix's version of TSSB and then go into "Bullet the Blue Sky."
  13. "Your mother was a hamster and your father smelled of elderberries."
  14. The Bills were tied for 2nd (with 3 other teams) for lowest yards per rush given up by a defense last year, at 3.6 YPR. Washington was best at 3.1. Do you know who THEIR DT's were?
  15. The rules are fine the way they are. If you holdout, you lose a game check. If you holdout more than 10 games, you forfeit a year of eligibility towards UFA. If you are on the opening day roster, your salary for the year is guaranteed (except if you holdout). And if you are cut, and you are good, you still have made money in your signing bonus, and have a good chance of being picked-up and paid again by another team.
  16. I haven't heard a bad thing about the movie, from critics or other people who've seen it. Other than it's not a blockbuster like ROTS, BB, F4, and WOTW's. In any other year, it probably would be doing quite well.
  17. Box office RETURNS are disappointing, if that's what you meant. The movie is supposed to be excellent. The refunds is just a gimmick to get people to see the movie, but it's not working.
  18. Vincent missed almost 10 full games last season, and wasn't 100% in the final 4 games.
  19. At least Salisbury has played the game. And Clayton has been wrong so many times in the past several months his credibility is almost gone.
  20. Try reading the WHOLE thread, sparky, and we've already gone over this. I'd say playoffs but no SB again.
  21. True, but it's not like JP will be a sitting duck on most passing plays.
