  1. Ah, the OTHER side of the argument again. First it was "he's not worth more than a 5th rounder" which changed to "a 3rd isn't that high of a pick." Now it's "well he wanted Lamont Jordan type of money which is why no one traded for him" to "he didn't deserve it." Give it up VA. It's getting tiring.
  2. Depends on the contract he signs.
  3. Didn't matter. The refs ruled he was forced-out. No review since it's a "judgement" call. Idiots.
  4. Doh! Youse guys got me! Damn that realignment!
  5. TD is trying to do with McGee what he tried to do with Clements 2 years ago. IOW get a starting CB under a long-term contract cheaper than when he breaks-out (as a CB, like Nate did last year, and like McGee could do this year).
  6. Yeah, chicks like wanted PMS. Oh wait, you meant personal messages.
  7. Oh, I hope they don't. I'm hoping 2-6 (with 2 wins against a certain other team... ). Oh and I'll bet $1M to your 10,000 dollars that the Titans are a bad team this year. Meaning top-5 pick in the draft.
  8. In Anderson's case, you cannot say that no other team wanted him. It's not like he was languishing in FA for month, ultimately settling on a deal. Gandy however, you COULD say that. But hopefully it's a matter of a guy who was given-up too quickly by his former team because of injuries, and that he was a product of bad coaching. Those are both plausible.
  9. You used one too many exclamation points.
  10. I wouldn't say I "hated it." I thought it was okay, but I agree with everything you said. I don't know whether Depp was directed to play it the way he did or whether he was given free reign like in Pirates, but he seemed too childlike to be as sarcastic as he was/should have been. Wilder did a great job in that department. I also thought that the messages were MUCH clearer in the first movie and thought the kids were bumped-off way too quickly, i.e. before I got a chance to hate them. And the music was lousy compared to the original "Oompah, loompah" songs. Last of all, I think that Charlie WAS the hero of the 1st movie as well. It was because he was a good kid that he "won" the factory, just like in this version.
  11. Travis last year was one year removed from the Pro Bowl. Enough said. Which is why they added Travis. But a running game alone won't help you. See below. No they don't. They traded away McCareins prior to last season. They lost Derrick Mason to the cap this past off-season. They have Calico who is never healthy, and Bennett, who is good but will find life more difficult as the #1 WR. At TE the one guy who had potential, Ben Troupe, might miss a good portion of the season. Doubtful. I wouldn't be surprised to see them go 0-8 in the division. Oh and take a look at this website and look at "subtractions" versus "additions." This is after losing Robaire Smith and Kearse after the 2003 season. http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/teams/page/TEN
  12. Remains to be seen.
  13. Yeah, that's what it meant. Florio holds a grudge worse than a chick.
  14. Yes, because the Titans should surprise a lot of people after having cut half their team the past 2 years.
  15. Good god man! So now a (high) 3rd "still isn't a great pick?" And as for those posters who (recently, i.e. after the season and after the RB market was known to be bad) allegedly said that the Bills should be able to get a 1st, Gallery, Taylor, who are they?
  16. That's sort of the implication. But I've heard the Jags are still looking into getting a RB.
  17. JP's O-line in college was horrible. And outside of Williams and Moore, both 4th rounders in their respective drafts, he had little talent around him. I can't speak about the coaching, but I think it's safe to say he didn't have anyone close to Wyche.
  18. Who knows. The Bills MIGHT be able to swing a deal with the Browns for Shelton for that extra 3rd rounder.
  19. Here is an article on BB.com about the O-line: http://www.buffalobills.com/news/news.jsp?news_id=3260 Interesting things from it are that the coaches like what they see in Gandy, McNally thinks that Preston's potential is "out of this world," and Ross Tucker should be fine by the start of training camp.
  20. He said he'd retire if he didn't get a huge deal. And he's not going to get one. At least I can respect him for sticking to his guns.
  21. Dare I say it will be...panda-monium?
  22. Cleveland signed him for less than half of what he was scheduled to make in 2005 in base salary.
  23. It's immaterial what he does for the Titans. The best the Bills were getting for him was a 3rd and if they didn't make the deal, they would have gotten nothing once he left the team as an UFA. And what the Bills do with the pick is also immaterial, for that very same reason. The only thing that can give me pause is if a team loses a RB and is willing to offer a high pick for a lesser-quality RB than Travis was.
  24. I agree. But people don't seem to want to distinguish a straight-up 2nd from a conditional 2nd. No way does TD refuse a straight-up 2nd from the Jags, but that's the implication in these reports, with the further implaction being that he's scared of the Jags and their playoff chances.
