  1. True, but you also don't want an average player at such an important position. As for my feelings on Gandy, I think he'll be fine. He played LT in Chicago with little coaching or talent around him. He has that in Buffalo. My only major concern is with injuries.
  2. I knew this was coming. Good to see Tedy making the smart decision here.
  3. He's too dumb to do that.
  4. Or watch him not. Even though I was and still am a fan of Travis, I realized he had limitations. Yeah, like that stupid Peerless Price thing. Should have paid him top dollar and kept him.
  5. That's a WHOLE lotta dudes praying to god and checking every few minutes that they aren't being outed by "Trendi Chick."
  6. Take a look at the projected stats for JP for this year ( http://fantasyfootball.usatoday.com/index....ofile&name=5285 ) Outside of INT's (21), he's projected to surpass Bledsoe's stats from last year.
  7. Man I hope not! That would mean I'm a lesbian! I think that GoBiB was addressing "Trendi Chick," aka Stephanie.
  8. Good god! Who would want to replace a tiny fleck of aluminum on a steaming turd, and how would it be easy?
  9. I didn't think that the fizzy lifting drinks subplot was necessary in the original (Wonka could have just sent them away at the end, saying that seeing his office was the prize, or some other trinket), although IIRC, it was the grandfather who suggested trying them, so Charlie was still beyond reproach. I think Dahl might have been pissed that the movie did a better job telling the story than he did. While we're on the Dahl topic and as an aside, my wife and I went to look at a house in one of the nicer areas of our town. I noticed a lot of Roald Dahl books everywhere and thought they were big fans. Later-on I learned they had the same last name and were related. No big deal, just kind of semi-interesting. Unfortunately we didn't like the house, because I would have demanded a signed copy of one of his books as part of the deal!
  10. So how many wallers DID hit on GoBiB, err, "Trendi Chick" then? Did I?
  11. Anyone can author a "report." And it's also entirely plausible that Travis made those demands to teams who he did NOT want to play for, specifically the Cards. Do you blame him? Again, I can't believe he went from those demands to accepting the (IMHO) lousy deal he allegedly did with the Titans.
  12. I disagree. Willis literally fell into the Bills' laps. They saw the opp to grab a guy with top-3 talent at #22 overall, and decided to gamble on greatness. Had that opp not presented itself, I doubt they would have spent another high pick on a RB. And I think that the incident with the 15-year old may have soured the Bills some on him, but there were other reasons.
  13. The original movie did a better job of tying everything together. Wonka originally closed-down because others were sending-in spies to steal from him. At the end when Wonka dismisses them for stealing fizzy lifting drinks, Charlie becomes the hero when, despite urging by his grandfather to do so, he refuses to go to Slugworth and give him the everlasting gobstopper. Without doing that, Wonka doesn't save Charlie from anything and lets him go.
  14. He's actually 5'11" and 200#.
  15. I figured they'd be worse than the year before. But after looking up that website that mentioned their FA loses!, whoa boy! I'd be highly surprised if they finished out of the bottom-5. McNair is a warrior and a great player when healthy. But he's been battered these last few years and is no spring chicken anymore. He also needs someone to throw the ball to. Most of his dependable receivers (Wychek and Mason) are gone, McCariens was a decent player, and Troupe is injured. Bennett is a good player, but he has to prove he can be a #1 WR, and still, he can't do it alone.
  16. Dumb comparison. Moulds' situation is nothing like Bledsoe's. Bledsoe wasn't draft by and hadn't spent 9 seasons with the team, and wasn't going to be the starter anymore (assuming Eric can still be a starter in 2006).
  17. Fair enough. I just don't think that OG's are hot commodities anymore and no one broke the bank this year (Wahle was an OG, but is projected to LT, so he doesn't count). That's not to say that these guys are great, but I don't think they're all that bad either. And as for the Ravens taking Vincent over Anderson, sometimes new is better to some. I'm sure though if they had to do it over again, they'd have kept Dilfer and not wasted money on Grbac.
  18. Yes, because nailing 15-year old lying whores is a precursor to double homicide. As for the contract, had he accepted one that was even HALF of what Jordan got, I'd believe that he was looking for Jordan money. This contract is nothing. It's basically a play-out-the-year deal with the Titans having the $4M option to keep him if he does well (and Travis having the option to sit-out for more money, with more leverage), or if he doesn't, refuse to give him the option payment and let him walk.
  19. Looking at what Travis got from the Titans, which is not even in the same solar system as what Jordan got, I seriously doubt he was looking for it. Why sign a 3-year deal for peanuts if you're looking for $5M a year and a $10M signing bonus? He took it because he now feels he's not worth it?
  20. He'll take a paycut. He's a team player and has made almost as much money as the top WR's in the NFL these past few years.
