His "plan" was to keep Travis for as long as it took to get a halfway decent draft pick out of someone. Now while a 2nd rounder would have been great, getting a 3rd considering the situation (Travis' on-field and off-field problems, refusal to play for Buffalo again, and 1 year remaining on his contract, not to mention the glut of RB's on the market this year) was making the best of it. Maybe last year he gets a 1st or definitely a 2nd, but that's a different situation entirely.
