  1. His "plan" was to keep Travis for as long as it took to get a halfway decent draft pick out of someone. Now while a 2nd rounder would have been great, getting a 3rd considering the situation (Travis' on-field and off-field problems, refusal to play for Buffalo again, and 1 year remaining on his contract, not to mention the glut of RB's on the market this year) was making the best of it. Maybe last year he gets a 1st or definitely a 2nd, but that's a different situation entirely.
  2. "J.Lo" has as much "hard gangster feel to it" as "P.Diddy." Now what the hell was Sean thinking with THAT move?
  3. I doubt he plays this year. I mean, why risk it? However the news that he COULD be back by October is at least good to hear.
  4. I see Ritzmann and Osunde as the longshots, with either having a good chance of ending on the PS. Gause has the most to offer from a size, speed, and experience viewpoint.
  5. It will most likely end up being Roscoe. Had he not impressed everyone in OTA's, I'd think that Josh would still be #3, but no I see it as Roscoe's job to lose.
  6. PUP list. That way they can give him time to recover but not waste a roster spot and not waste his whole season. Then if after 6-8 weeks (whatever the timeframe is) if he isn't ready for primetime, you IR him.
  7. Charley's steakhouse in Orlando.
  8. It was Gary Plummer, and that was a real downer.
  9. True the Bills won't be running the ball 3 times in a row and JP will have to make plays. But I don't necessarily think it will be JP needing to make BIG plays. I look at the Pats with Brady back in 2001. Use good defense, ST's, and the running game, and dink and dunk 'em to death. Also add-in JP's mobility for that extra dimension.
  10. As well as some of the worst coaching in Bills history. They should have run Thurman's legs off in that game.
  11. Gandy's "other problems" were inexperience and lousy coaching, if not lack of supporting cast. I'll wait to see how he does without those problems before I start saying the Bills are DOOMED!
  12. The rich Corinthian leather?
  13. Interesting observation, seeing as how one NFL type several years ago lamented that the reason there weren't that many good TE's in the NFL was because they were all playing power forward in the NBA.
  14. Uh yeah, I think that's the point. You HAVEN'T seen what Mouse has seen. And unless the defense, ST's, and running game are stinking up the joint, I don't see JP getting enough passing plays in TO get hurt. Not to mention the Texans have NO pass rush.
  15. True, but even that has its limits. You don't want to put a guy coming off a serious injury, one suffered WITHOUT contact I might add, on ST's where the idea is to fly down the field like a kamikazee. I doubt Everett sees ST's until at least next year, if even that depending on what he adds to the TE position (i.e. if he's the starter).
  16. The difference is that Everett's injury was nothing compared to Willis'. Everett didn't need total reconstruction, so the October timetable COULD possibly happen. However just coming back from injury and not having practiced much, as well as being a rookie, he'd more or less be pretty useless.
  17. Goodness no! I wouldn't risk him on ST's.
  18. Everytime I see his name, my heart sinks a tiny bit. I had such high hopes for that kid. Now they'll have to be delayed, IMHO at least a year, since I think rushing him onto the field in October wouldn't be the best thing. Hope I'm wrong and he's back at 100% by then.
  19. In due time, young grasshopper. In due time.
  20. The same place: not winning the SB and probably losing in the NFCCG (then again, the NFC was so bad, they probably still would have made the SB, and lost, without TO).
  21. I agree. Whether true or not, he's certainly put in maximum effort since then.
  22. I think he WAS cocky...until Vincent laid that lick on him, and then when he looked like a fool against the Patsies and had to admit he hadn't prepared.
  23. Very few picks have signed. Most are waiting for Alex Smith to sign and then going from there.
  24. You got it. Hang in there.
  25. Conversely then, players should be forced to give back money when they don't live up to their contracts. You have a great year and want more coin, fine. Then when you have a bad one, give it back.
