  1. Agreed. However with the lack of interest shown in Shelton, Verba (if they felt LT was a screaming need, they'd be stepping-up to the plate big-time), and moving-up in the draft, I think there's more reason to believe they like Gandy, again as a solid starter. Doesn't mean they won't try and upgrade from him, like the Bears tried with Colombo.
  2. Interesting that Eagles fans chose Lee Evans out of all other young WR's. I wonder why?
  3. Yep, but there was NO game film on Smith.
  4. Cool. That should really help out the team. Thanks.
  5. The Bills should have traded Travis for him.
  6. He inherited Pucillo. I'd believe that was more of a case of towing the company line than anything else. And Pucillo never started for the Bills after being replaced by guys McNally did NOT inherit.
  7. Joe F DOES eat crayonz.
  8. Dude, it's been like almost 200 years since then! Eh?
  9. Seems like McNally liked what he saw on film of Gandy. So much for the fans.
  10. He sucks if no one would trade for him.
  11. My 2003 Lindy's said that Gandy was a "smart, versatile technician who was a pleasant surprise at LT in '02." The next year however it said he was "out of position at LT the past 2 years." In any case, as I said, I think it's unfair to judge him based on his time with an (IMHO) inferior team, and if McNally likes him, who am I to disbelieve him?
  12. So would I. However who should one believe? Gandy's work several years ago with a bad team, or McNally? Again I'll wait and see how he looks before starting to freak out.
  13. Being skeptical of him is fine. I myself am not expecint Orlando Pace, but someone who doesn't get JP killed and can open some holes in the running game. Anything more than that is gravy. I just can't see screaming and yelling over a guy who hasn't had much help in becoming a better player the last few years. I will say that he seems injury-prone, but so too was Jonas.
  14. Have YOU seen him play LT? Probably not. I think it's truly laughable to write-off a guy because of how he looked over 2 years ago, playing LT in his 2nd year with crap coaching and players around him. And what makes YOU more of an expert than McNally?
  15. Damien Woody was popular in FA. He was a horribly overpaid. Wait and see first.
  16. So the Bills should have enough to franchise Clements next off-season? Cool. Will they have any money left over to pursue a FA or two (which would give them more leverage, in that they don't have to trade Clements immediately and thus take a lower offer)?
  17. Fred Grandy? Yes. Mike Gandy? Remains to be seen.
  18. The DB deal was a great one. If not for him, the Bills would have lost Price without getting a 1st rounder for him, and they wouldn't have been considered a team FA's would want to sign with, because of the lack of a "name" signal caller. Unfortunately he wasn't able to take the Bills to the playoffs, but it was far from the antithesis of the Price trade.
  19. While the above is funny, I think he can work on things like set-up, form, follow-through, etc. And as has been said, bad kickers HAVE been known to improve over time.
  20. Yeah, what does April know? Didn't the Rams get rid of him?
  21. I would hope so. Their rookies were supposed to report this past Friday.
  22. Fight the good fight, Chris. We're all pulling for you.
