  1. If the Bills were to have to resort to their 3rd string QB, there's little more you want to see him do than handing the ball off. At least with Woodbury, you could use his mobility to do rollouts, designed QB runs, and even the option (only half-kidding here).
  2. Yeah but he was playing against the Bears' 2nd stringers, who are 3rd stringers for most teams.
  3. It's not that we don't trust you: we don't trust ANYONE! There might be something to this, or they might not. I wouldn't be surprised if the Bills inquired because TD and Modrak have said that they're always looking to improve the team. And as for not looking to trade for a WR, big mistake. With TO unhappy, FredEx gone, and Pinkston out for the year, they need receiver help bad. And I wouldn't count on Tai Streets getting cut.
  4. The guy's got issues. He's clearly doing this for the money (he would have had to repay). Does anyone think he'd have come back if that weren't the case? But unfortunately for the Dolphins, they haven't come to terms with their 1st pick, because they don't want to pay him like the #2 overall.
  5. I've been thinking about this. If this is what Kiper TRULY meant, then it's another example of "damned if you do, damned if you don't." Say JP came out and did NOT play cautiously, and made costly errors. Would that have made Kiper feel better? Did he expect JP to NOT play cautiously and look like Favre in his prime? Again if JP can be "iffy" while doing the things I mentioned above, I hope he has a long and "iffy" career.
  6. Too funny. Actually THIS year is the one year I KNOW they won't win the SB. Next year possibly, but not this one. I heard the same stuff from Cowboys fans 10 years ago.
  7. Not totally. Just their SB chances. Sincerely SkyLab
  8. At least Victor Allotey was healthy for all the time he never played. Sheesh!
  9. Wilson has good size (6' and 210#) and since outside of Moulds (who's getting long in the tooth) and Aiken (who seems to be playing himself out of a job) the rest of them are sub-6', that's needed. He's also got decent speed (4.5). I wonder what happened to Tony Brown?
  10. Was there a personal foul called for tripping him? I didn't see the game (and although I was pissed at the time, I'm glad I didn't given the outcome).
  11. I haven't been there, but I'd have to hazard a guess and say Parrish.
  12. I wouldn't be surprised to see them sign him. The Pats love raiding the AFC East.
  13. The Bills don't need an LT, and they're not going to find anyone better (not that he hasn't played well) than Gandy at this point. And you can ALWAYS use CB depth.
  14. He was 3rd on the depth chart anyway. A small loss, but I guess that means that Geisinger makes the 53-man roster. This assumes that Ross Tucker will be back before the season starts.
  15. I don't think that the extra $350-400K the Bills would save by NOT signing Mickens would make the difference between getting a better player elsewhere and not. Also I think that Thomas might be best served be placed on the PUP list. He hasn't practiced with the team yet and likely won't before the season starts. All the more reason to get a proven nickel CB like Mickens. Then allow Greer and King to develop at their own pace.
  16. It will be about as dimensional as the Pats' offense in 2001. You know, great defense, ST's, running game, and short, safe passes, with the occasional play-action bomb. Not saying the Bills are SB bound. just that they won't be 1-dimensional.
  17. To make room for Ty Law, the Jets released CB Ray Mickens. Worth a look as a nickel CB? I think so.
  18. 6-10 in reality. Just like all those supposed Travis fumbles that were saved by the whistle or the sidelines.
  19. From what I saw out of JP on Friday night, he'll be able to throw those short/safe passes and make plays on the run. That's all I want him to do.
  20. I'm sure they're still in negotiations, and that a sticking point is injury protection for the Bills should Everett never play again. Considering he's a mid-3rd round pick and they don't make much, I would just get it done. But then again, since he's not going to be playing for months, there's no rush and it would be smart on the Bills' part to wait and GET that injury clause in the contract.
  21. Considering it was written prior to the scrimmage, I don't care.
  22. The problem is that JP was nowhere NEAR the zip code of "terrible." Was he great? No. But he did more good than bad, and there are a lot more appropriate descriptions of his performance than "terrible." To me, "terrible" means he couldn't have done any worse than he did (and in that vein, I wonder what he'd say of Aaron Rodgers' performance ). But again (broken record), a 60% completion percentage, avoiding sacks, throwing the short pass well, converting 3rd downs, and make correct decisions most of the time, is pretty good. Was he perfect? No, but no QB is. I don't know, now that you mention Fez having the Broncos-Bills pre-season game from last year in his sig, maybe he was expecting JP to BE perfect with his passing?
