It's all hindsight. Roy Williams would have been the next best player, but would you want to be paying a SS what Big Mike is making, especially someone who is NOW playing worse than Big Mike?

Peerless said in an interview several months ago that he'd like to play in a system like Buffalo's. And he knows the players, the area, the management, and the fans. I could see him returning and I think his ego has taken a serious blow over the past few years. And if he's expecting to get a big payday, he'd got a rude awakening coming. Oh and he could TRY to compete with Lee for #2, but he'd fail miserably. That being said, he'd make a great #3.

And why would we trust anything to come from someone who was fired? And how did they diagnose this, without doing a knee scope?

Yeah and JP's not AS handsome as Drew either. If JP doesn't have AS strong an arm as Drew, it doesn't matter. What matters more is quickness of release and placement, and enough strength to throw into wind. He's got that.

From what I've heard, he was dragged down from behind. That can do SERIOUS damage to someone (and I think TO broke his ankle that way). The fact that he was able to practice yesterday says something, but I'd still rest him this weekend.

I think it's pretty obvious that Nate won't be paid by the Bills what he thinks he should be paid, so he'll be franchised and traded next year. While it will be a loss, paying $10M a year for one player, even a "shutdown" CB like Nate, just isn't worth it.

JP is very un-Favre-like in that Favre used to throw pick after pick. He seemed like a bust in the early-going, but became IMHO one of the greatest QB's in NFL history. JP OTOH seems to be able to mostly throw the ball where only the receiver can make the catch, and that's a great trait to have. He needs to work on NOT throwing into traffic so much, but, like Favre, he's got a gun and a gunslinger's attitude, so I doubt that goes away anytime soon. But he should be a good one.
