  1. They're missing more than just Crennel. They're missing Bruschi, Johnson, Patten, Andruzzi, and especially Weis. The other teams have also closed the gap on them significantly, to the point where they're probably the 4th best team in the AFC, if even that.
  2. My wife would like a cable connection, too. But I resist; I don't want her to spend money on such frivolities because of fear that it could cut in on the beer and cigs she buys me. Marry well, and life is a dream... How much you pay for dialup? In my area, if you get have SBC local and long distance, you can get regular DSL (up to 1.5 Mbps) for $14.95 a month.
  3. Yeah plugging in rooks didn't work too well against the Panthers. And it won't work too well against the Steelers. Against the Raiders, who have NADA for a pass rush (their top sacker had 4 whole sacks last year, and that was the above-mentioned Bobby Hamilton), it might be okay.
  4. Pepsi machine? Just trying to keep up with the Patsy's.
  5. Stop building yourself up!
  6. Nah, more like a sainted being. BTW, why are you still here? You should have been tossed LONG ago.
  7. ...of course they might not be human.
  8. Alright, that's it! Yer outta here!
  9. I don't recall anyone bashing Drew for the Bills losing that shootout in 2002 with the Raiders. However scoring only 13 points will usually NOT be enough to win a game. Drew had chances to add to that, but couldn't.
  10. Who's Lori? WHO'S LORI? That right there could get you tossed as well.
  11. Thanks. He HAS to play. The Bills showed they can't afford to lose him.
  12. What does it say?
  13. The point in bringing this up, at least from my vantage point, is that Vick will either play and be limited with a leg injury (forget which) or won't play, essentially eliminating him as a running threat.
  14. Maybe a posse of kitty?
  15. I'd rather take the human element out of officiating anyway I can. Leave that to the players on the field.
  16. The defense would have played a lot better is a) Fletcher didn't get hurt and b) the offense was able to sustain drives. It would have been nice if the ST's from last year showed up as well.
  17. Why do that, when the current system affords the refs the ability to decide who "they" want to win games?
  18. I think that goalline cameras should be there as well. I just find it laughable that since that was the ONLY thing that hurt his team, it's the only thing he mentioned. As I said, he could have still challenged it and had the play never been whistled dead, it would have been a TD for the Panthers anyway, but with a different player getting credit. At best the play would have been called 2nd and goal at the 1 micron line and the Panthers would have scored anyway.
  19. No, you've got it wrong. They're so good that what looks like holding when another team does it is NOT holding when they do it.
  20. Not if Vick is hurting. He had about 1/3 of those yards.
  21. Yeah, what a travesty! The NFL actually placed emphasis on CALLING pass interference and holding when it happens?
  22. Who cares if Davis scored or not? The Pats have been the beneficiaries of multitudes of bad calls that conveniently aren't reviewable or which they prevent being reviewed by quickly running a play. Belichick sounds like the biggest fuggin' hypocrite ever just because a big call (finally) went against him. How about talking about how the refs blew the whistle early, negating the fumble by Davis and recovery in the endzone (for a TD) by a Panthers' O-lineman? How about talking about the need for challenges not tied to TO's? Why not challenge it ANYWAY? Nope, all that needs to be done is more cameras. It's as laughable a solution as Bob Kraft's solution to add 2 more playoff teams in each conference, after the Pats missed the playoffs in 2002. Hopefully what we saw is a shifting of thinking WRT refs favoring the Pats.
  23. Un-fuggin'-believeable! Belichick whining about blown ref calls? Now I think I've seen everything!
  24. Yep, that's why I'm not ready to jump off the bridge just yet. The Pats and Jets figure to lose, playing at the Steelers and at home against the better Jags without Martin respectively, while the Dols have Carolina at home. If the Bills beat the beatable Falcs at home, they have sole possession of 1st in the AFC East, and at worst, are tied for first (and last) with the other 3 teams.
  25. I didn't see the game, but I got the idea. Come on, he's starting his 2nd game against a good opponent on the road in oppressive heat, the rest of his team isn't playing well, and you want to up and dump him? Not even going there. Well then give him a chance to learn/grow. Would you rather have Bledsoe? Do you really think Holcomb would have been better, given his -1 yards passing in his brief time? I don't.
