  1. I'd be willing to bet he picked the Dols.
  2. Bruschi likely won't do jack this year. He'll more than likely get hurt because he's not in football shape. That's why he should sit it out and come back next year. But bring it on. It will be an interesting medical experiment. I can see it now: "This is your brain after a stroke. This is your brain after a stroke playing football. Any questions?"
  3. We are? I don't think you can consider a 3rd WR a "star wide-out," and I don't think anyone has proclaimed that Parrish will be putting-up 100 yard receiving games. What I'm looking for is his speed to open things up, even if he doesn't catch a ton of passes.
  4. Good thinking. He's either T.O. or he sucks.
  5. He was catching passes (didn't drop a single one) in practice. I believe there have been a couple.
  6. They have to. He's a vested veteran so his salary was guaranteed after the season started. And the Pats must be desperate, if they're considering letting him play after more or less saying he was going to sit out the season. Dumb move IMHO. Sit out the year and get ready for next year, Tedy.
  7. If the Bills had a defense that year, they would have done well. It's always either a good offense or a good defense, sometimes with a good ST's.
  8. Even IF Jonas were able to play all 16 games, I'd still balk at paying him like a top LT, like he got paid by the 49'ers. He's a solid LT, but not a top one. The Bills did that with Fina and as a result never tried to improve the LT position. Now for the money and production, Gandy is BETTER than Jennings, but I don't harbor any illusions that he's the Bills' permanent LT. As I've said, I see him moving inside to LG next year and a new LT taking over (I'm assuming Gandy will be in competition for the LT spot, but hope to see him lose it to Peters or a draft pick).
  9. Like some have said, I doubt the Jets are gameplanning for a rookie at-best 3rd WR who has a 50-50 chance of playing. But you don't know he won't play, so saying "Roscoe ain't ready" is speculation on your part. Frankly I think the Bills don't need him this weekend, but I'd like to see him get a few plays in to get him ready a bit, and see him torch the Jets because they WEREN'T gameplanning for him.
  10. It was either Williams or McKinney. Not much of a difference there.
  11. He knew that Jennings annually misses games and thus wasn't worth the money he was seeking. I'm sure he didn't expect Jennings to miss most of the season, but I'm sure he's not surprised either.
  12. Agree with Teague, Reed, Neufeld, Clements, Wire, and Posey. No way on Gandy or Anderson, who are cheap and good players and at worst good depth. Moulds depends on whether he takes a paycut or not.
  13. Holcomb was also making his first start after not getting much practice time with the starters in training camp and pre-season. Him getting more comfortable and getting back some key players will help things out a lot.
  14. ...or getting healthy, as they appear to be doing. Also the switch of QB's, while it might delay the development of Losman, will help towards making the playoffs, and Holcomb's performance should improve as he gets more comfortable and gets some players back on offense.
  15. Parrish doesn't need to be able to bend his wrist to catch a football. If you saw the video on BB.com, you'd see he caught every ball thrown to him. And players play in pain and not totally healed all the time. As long as he doesn't dive for another ball or an opposing player doesn't go Hannibal Lechter on his wrist, he'll be fine.
  16. Hey Simon, you know Garrison Keillor?
  17. Who'd he pick last weekend? The Bills or the Dols?
  18. Yeah, the NFL looks REAL great this year. The AFC East is a killer division and the AFC is LOADED with top teams who could beat the snot out of the Bills. They have no chance. :sarcasm:
  19. Maybe historically. But he's getting up there in years.
  20. WRT Villy, I just have a hunch that his time in Buffalo is over after this year. He's getting long in the tooth and has seemed to lack some punch this year.
  21. Roscoe is talking about his day today. Said he did as much today as yesterday, and he caught everything thrown to him that they showed in the video. He said his wrist was a little swollen, but not as bad as they thought. Cool!
  22. I'm assuming the Bills keep Big Mike because of cap considerations. Agree with all of it. I can see Geisinger pushing Anderson as I mentioned above, but I didn't consider moving Anderson back to RG, where he's mostly played every year of his NFL career until coming to the Bills.
  23. So the line will be Big Mike at RT, Preston at center, Gandy at one of the guard spots, possibly Peters at LT, and maybe Geisinger at the other guard spot?
