  1. The injury report's appearance today has been downgraded from "probable" to "questionable."
  2. No, by myself. Against future fast-food workers. And I heard Pats fans talk-up Matt Cassell because of his pre-season. I heard on ProFootballTalk.com that the Dols view him as a "steal" and think he can start for them in 2006. Now THAT is pretty frickin' scary (for you).
  3. Since players who were placed on the PUP list can now start practicing, I wonder what the word on Kevin Everett is? I guess no news is NOT good news.
  4. But wait, I thought TD can't admit making a mistake?
  5. Is Fonoti healthy? Is he an upgrade over Anderson or Villarrial?
  6. I've argued with Pats/Brady fans for years about Brady's supposed "greatness." Yet they cannot give me any explanation for those 2 things above (2001 Pgh AFCCG and the 2002 season), while the officiating foibles are passed-off as "sour grapes," when it's apparent to anyone who knows the NFL rules what happened. Brady is a good QB, don't get me wrong, and saying he's "overrated" or "not great" is not saying that he "sucks." But I've NEVER seen a QB more dependent on his supporting cast, and the fact that he's won every SB by just 3 points demonstrates that pretty clearly.
  7. So? Let them make a committment to the run. Then the Bills stack the box and force Collins to beat them with Jerry Porter as their only receiving threat.
  8. And that's not to mention the "tuck" rule that should have prevented the Pats from ever GETTING to their 1st SB, much less the way they were able to sodomize the Colts in the AFCCG 2 years later to reach their 2nd SB. Suffice it to say that the NFL has been weak for years now, especially on the NFC side, and that several AFC teams could have won the SB had they made it.
  9. So the Dols traded one Lemon for another?
  10. Do the Raiders have a good O-line? I thought I heard that they will be without their center and have shifted a starter from OG to his spot, playing a backup in HIS place.
  11. Did you happen to catch the Pats' 2002 season? You know the difference between THAT season and the other 3 seasons he started? The defense was ranked in the teens, not the top-3, in scoring defense. Think that's a coincidence? Also, what about that Steelers championship playoff game in 2001 that Bledsoe (in Brady terms) "won" and which propelled the Pats to their 1st SB? Was that not a big game? And did the Pats not win that game with Brady missing a little over half the game, i.e. essentially without him?
  12. Does a Lean Pocket count? I just LOVE those chicken fajita ones!
  13. Sun Tzu's "The Art of War:" "Victorious warriors win first and then go to war, while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win."
  14. I'm with you thinking the Bills will lose, but by 30? Come on man! That's beyond ridiculous, it's ludicrous. And the Bills will beat Oakland, Moss or not. Oh and BTW, great post, LA!
  15. Yeah, I saw that. I wasn't surprised.
  16. Tell that to the experts who claimed that Terry Schiavo had hope of recovery. Or Thomas Herrion's doctors.
  17. I have no doubt that Bruschi loves the game. I think though that if the Pats were 5-1 or 6-0 and looking as dominating as in the past, they would shut him down and not give him the option to come back this year.
  18. Well the TD, if called correctly, would have put them ahead. And it's not like the Raiders were doing much on offense, at home no less, either.
  19. True. Having a player come back 8 months after suffering a stroke is NOT desperation. I wonder if the Pats were 5-1 if they'd still be trying to bring him back.
  20. I'll have that first...then go all tai-chi!
  21. No you di'in't! You did NOT just say "professional athletes ought to know better."
  22. The heart is fine. It was a hole that a quarter of people have, but usually don't know about and which usually doesn't cause a problem. He had the hole closed, so that as a cause of the stroke won't happen, and his heart is fine. It's the fact that he suffered a stroke just 8 months ago, and that he'll be knocking heads with other human beings, that should be worrying people.
  23. LOL! The Bills were "embarrassed?" If not for the zebras missing Travis scoring a TD on a 2nd effort and Mularkey not challenging it, the Bills would have won that game.
