Scrap the "I'm proud", "Damn to Refs" and...
MadBuffaloDisease replied to Kipers Hair's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If the Pats still had Crennel and Weis, the missing players wouldn't have made a difference. The fact of the matter is that the Pats are likely to never experience the level of dominance they had the past few years because of aging and loss of some great coaches. It's pretty obvious to everyone but homer Pats fans who think that they'll continue to win SB's as long as Belichick and Brady are on the team. -
Will the HEROIC Patriots SOMEHOW beat the Colts

Freeney against Kazcur will be a horror-show, given Schobel against Kazcur last weekend. And Edge will get his yards on the ground and take the pressure off of Manning. -
GO COLTS!!!

You mean like he did the Bills' defense, with 2 weeks to prepare no less? -

The difference is THIS year the Colts have a real defense. Ask Tom Brady what kind of difference having a good defense makes. -

The Colts won't lose. -
Peters' performance?
MadBuffaloDisease replied to RuntheDamnBall's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The same tendencies Anderson showed with the Ravens was as a crushing run-blocker, hence a major reason why Lewis has failed to record a single 100 yard game this year and Willis is 6th in yards rushing per game. You've heard the expression "the proof is in the pudding," although I GUESS it could all be due to Gandy. Notice that nowhere did I talk about Anderson's pass-blocked (in)abilities, I wasn't advocating him starting at LG next year, and had him as the 3rd option at RG. But keep building those strawmen to knock down. -

You "remain cautiously optimistic" because the Rams were dominating the Colts (thanks to Bulger's much greater ability to hit the deep pass than Brady has shown this year) until Bulger got hurt? Because the Bills dominated the Pats in NE for 3 quarters, despite the Pats having 2 weeks to rest and prepare, whereas this time the Colts will have 2 weeks to rest and prepare? Because in the past the Colts have always lose thanks to having crappy defenses, whereas now they have a good one? Or because the Bruschi (We're not worthy!) lovefest will continue for a 2nd straight week and the NFL not wanting to upset the good vibe by having the Pats lose? -
Peters' performance?
MadBuffaloDisease replied to RuntheDamnBall's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the Bills have had bad O-lines because they've lacked a true, dominating center since the days of Kent Hull. I think Preston could finally be that guy, and I think that his presence will have a ripple effect on the rest of the O-line (think the Jets' O-lines after Mawae arrived). I also think that Gandy will be better served at LG because he's a natural guard, and remember no one thought he'd worth a damn as a LT and he's been a pleasant surprise. As for Peters, that's more of a projection. I think that with his promising performance at RT, they'll accelerate his OT development. But again as I said, I could live with Gandy at LT next year. -
Peters' performance?

Lewis was in prison prior to the 2004 season. Last year he had 1006 yards in 12 games which works out to 1341 for a full season. Not too bad. Maybe Mason and Heap are missing their former QB or in decline, but again they're still upgrades over what the Ravens had LAST year, and the same goes for Wright playing over Boller, who is a crappy QB. Maybe though, everyone else on offense has gotten worse, and Vincent is the only upgrade? Could be. -
Peters' performance?

The Ravens boosted their receiving corps by adding Derrick Mason and getting Todd Heap back, not to mention Boller getting hurt early. The only change was Anderson for Vincent. -
Peters' performance?

Give ME a break. Williams isn't going anywhere because of the cap hit. As for Gandy being trouble at LG, he's more suited to OG than OT, but I'd be fine with him sticking at LT if that's what was needed. And as for how Peters "is not that guy," want to lend me that crystal ball? -
Peters' performance?
MadBuffaloDisease replied to RuntheDamnBall's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wasn't making Anderson out to be anything, just wondering aloud if one had anything to do with the other. And I'm not satisfied with him being a road grader but a liability in pass protection. I have doubts about that, which is why I would like to see Gandy take his spot (presumably next year, with Peters playing LT). -
Peters' performance?

I think that writing ANY rookie off, especially based on pre-season performance, is wrong. I still can't help but think that the Ravens losing Anderson (and replacing him with a guy many here wanted, Keydrick Vincent, formerly of the Steelers) is one of the big reasons that Jamal Lewis hasn't recorded a single 100 yard game this year. It's not like they can use Kyle Boller as an excuse, since Lewis had a good season last year with Boller at the helm, and he hasn't played in awhile, and Anthony Wright is no worse than Boller. -

It's even nicer to see the Pats get a break from their former domination. It will probably be a LONG break, at that. Oh wait, I just jinxed that. The Pats will now win every SB until Brady and Bellichick depart the Pats. -

MadBuffaloDisease replied to Mr. T's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ah, so "not a Brady fan" means telling it like it is? Come now, I though Brady could make anyone look good? He's been carrying his offense single-handedly the past 4 years. None of the other 10 players would start for any other team in the NFL. Weis held him back. Or so I've been told. -
This just in: Tedy Bruschi has cured cancer! Cancer saw his god-like performance against the Bills on Sunday and realized it was only a matter of time before it was next.

Peters' performance?
MadBuffaloDisease replied to RuntheDamnBall's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree, as I said above. Gandy likely slides over the LG if Peters plays LT. Preston at center is obvious, and Big Mike will remain at RT by default since the Bills can't afford to cut him (although as was mentioned, a move to OG could happen). My order at RG was Villy, then Geisinger (the reason I mentioned him is he was considered the prototype NFL OG by many scouting services) and then Anderson, who played RG with the Ravens (BTW notice that Jamal Lewis hasn't had a 100 yard rushing game this season, with the ONLY change to the O-line being Anderson, replaced with Steelers castoff Keydrick Vincent, who many were high on?). -
Great News this upcoming weekend
MadBuffaloDisease replied to The Poojer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills should be back in 2nd place and just 1 game out of 1st after this weekend. I don't see any of the other AFC East teams winning. -
Why does "Tedy" have only one "d"?
MadBuffaloDisease replied to The Dean's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Because there's only one "D" in "Defense," and there is no "I" in "Tedy." -
Peters' performance?
MadBuffaloDisease replied to RuntheDamnBall's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well yeah, it WOULD involve getting those players into the lineup. Big has nothing to do with anything. It's just easier than typing out Mike Williams. And if moving him inside to OG is where they see him best, so be it. But the Bills would still need a RT. -
Peters' performance?
MadBuffaloDisease replied to RuntheDamnBall's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The future at LT for the Bills. He'll allow them to move Gandy inside to LG, and then with Preston at center, Villy or Geisinger at RG (maybe even moving Anderson back to RG), and Big Mike at RT (probably will need to draft/groom a RT for those times Big Mike is injured), the Bills could have the makings of a really good O-line. -
The Pats are the OJ's of the NFL. They get away with murder, but their fans believe they're innocent. And both wonder why they get no respect. I wonder if the Pats are looking for the REAL refs, though?

My special moment was seeing the highlights on NFL network and seeing him get away with a facemask on Parrish on that reverse. Ah, the Tedy of old is back! -
