Yeah, but what about that Murray Cook fellow? -

Because ESPN would get hit with a discrimination lawsuit. Hoge is handicapped from his concussions. Hoge can't fire his mommy! -

Well consider this. The Chargers have had 2 weeks to prepare for the Bills. Prior to last weekend, all indication were that Holcomb was going to be the starter. Now that's not the case, so all the prep the Chargers did for Holcomb pretty much goes out the window. And we went through before how much a gameplan changes for one QB versus another, and trust me that it DOES matter. -

Cliffs of Dover is great. I also like his solo in "Desert Rose," a cheesy love song with an amazing solo and "outro." Geroge Lynch is also a personal fave. His solos are slick and tasty. -
Patriots Center & DB added to IR
MadBuffaloDisease replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Pats annually have a load of players who get injured and put on IR. This year has been the worst by far, but it's been a problem for them for awhile. I don't know if they've had the same trainer and/or S&S coach for the past 5 years, but if they do, they're idiots for not getting rid of him. -

Even if not naming your starter until the last possible moment gives you a 0.0001% better chance of winning, you do it. Just because YOU want to know who's starting doesn't mean the Bills should have to tell you in advance. -
Why isn't Roscoe Parrish being used?
MadBuffaloDisease replied to Tolstoy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, he sucks. Cut him. -
If they can't prove that she could have avoided the transfusion had she gotten the steroids, then they might have a case. But I doubt that the transfusion would have been avoided therefore you can't sue for anything but the extra 2 days' charges.

It took Lee Evans, who had a full training camp, pre-season, and who was uninjured, if not considered a better prospect, half the season to "get it." Give Roscoe some time. -

The Pats are lucky that the rest of the division sucks this year, otherwise it would be 2002 all over again. That being said, they're reaching the point where they'll be hard-pressed to win more than a few more games. -
What I was describing was the Pats teams from 3 of the past 4 years, not some "perfect team." Hell give him Tampa Bay's or the Ravens' defenses and he would have won a SB. The point being, he hasn't didn't get a good defensive effort, much less a good ST's effort, in HIS only chance in the SB, and his teams never dominated defensively the way the SB winning teams of the past decade have done.
-
If Bledsoe had the coaching staff, the ST's, and especially the Pats' defense from the SB-winning years ('01, '03-04) when he was younger, he would have won several SB's. However he hasn't been at that level for quite a while (i.e. being able to sustain it for a whole season).
-
Bledsoe carried that team for most of the regular season as well as the SB. with the defense basically dominating just the 2 playoff games. As you admitted, he had his best statistical season, while Curtis Martin had a pedestrian 1152 yards and the defense was ranked 14th in points allowed (while Brady has never had a defensive unit outside of the top-5 in points allowed in his SB years). And again as I said, in the SB, the defense didn't force a single turnover and gave up several long TD drives and passes, not to mention what Desmond Howard did to their ST's (he might have won the game single-handedly, something which again has NOTHING to do with Bledsoe). And Bledsoe was basically a 1-man show, since the Pats decided to run the ball a mere 12 times, despite Martin gaining 4 YPC. And while Bledsoe threw 4 picks, 2 were in garbage time when the game was basically over, 1 was like a punt, and another led to 3 points. I know it's simple to blame Bledsoe for that loss, but he had ZERO help from his teammates, especially his O-line who allowed Reggie White to sodomize him, via Max Lane. And I also credit that year to Parcells, but Belichick had a hand in improving the defense in creating turnovers (they were tied for 4th in INT's), but his defense failed miserably in the SB and was as much to blame for the loss as the ST's play and the stupid play-calling on offense.
-
The overall point was that Bledsoe, while not carrying the team in the playoffs, carried the team in the SB. The Pats abandoned the running game and the defense got toasted repeatedly. I was pulling for the Pats.
-
Yeah but they also didn't generate a single turnover (much less 3 like the Pats' defense has averaged in each of their 3 SB wins) against the Packers in the SB. I guess they blew their wad in the 2 previous playoff game.

Lots of them. But I'd have to say "Eruption." That's what started it all for me. -

Pro wrestling takes great athleticism and a lof practice, but it's totally scripted. That's why ESPN doesn't ever report on it, and why Cowherd won't lose his job or even get reprimanded over his comments. Poker, while not a "sport," isn't scripted. And some of the sports anchors (Dan Patrick) don't think ESPN should be showing it anyway. -
The only thing I needed to see from last night's game to tell me that it was time to move on with Drew, and why he can no longer be expected to win a SB, is his INT. I mean, WTF was that? And it's not like the Eagles have a great defense anymore.

Everything has been found to be good for you...then it is found to NOT be good for you. Bottom line is, moderation is the key. And I suggest Bass Ale. -
This isn't a frivolous lawsuit or fraud. Those are what are increasing health care costs.

Like I said, I wouldn't touch this (a division) game with a 10-foot pole. The teams know each other so well that it's almost impossible to get a handle on it. And betting the farm on a divisional game is never a good idea. -
If they could have avoided the transfusion by giving her steroids, then you may have a case. If she was going to get the transfusion anyway, you don't. And it will be hard to prove that she would have avoided the transfusion even if she HAD been getting steroids. Again I think that the time, money, and aggravation aren't worth it, and I would do what I said, i.e. tell them I'm not paying for any charges incurred during the extra 2 days, and even throw in the transfusion for good measure. If they don't agree to that, then go the lawyer route, realizing it won't be satisfying in any respect.
-
As slothrop alluded to, unless there was physical harm done (even though she was getting treatment, she was living with the disease without treatment), trying to pursue a "pain and suffering" case because your fiance's spirits dropped from having to stay longer in the hospital is not worth the time, money, and aggravation. I'd tell the hospital that I'm definitely NOT going to pay for the charges for the extra 2 days. If you can get that, much less more, without spending money on a lawyer, you'll have "won" of sorts.

See, it the game unfolded JUST the way I thought it would. Stick a fork in the Eagles. They're cooked. -
