  1. Would you rather the Bills stayed with Bledsoe, who likely won't be taking the Cowboys to the playoffs either? Or is there some other magical player that is a can't-miss prospect?
  2. Well it first remains to be seen if the Bills' scouts think that Ngata can be a difference-maker as a DT (and later for Ngata to validate that). Ideally he's viewed as a non-top-5 pick, and the Bills trade down and get him and an extra pick or two, maximizing their draft value. But if they think he's worth a top-5 pick and others don't, they should take him. That kind of thinking (i.e. not worth X position) led the Bills to take MW over Levi Jones or for a lot of teams to bypass Freeney.
  3. Very reminiscent of the Pats-Bucs game from yesterday. Take a warm weather or dome team and put them in a freezing locale and it's lights-out.
  4. Because of the lack of good DT's, the fault of which could lie at TD's, Krumrie's, or Gray's feet.
  5. The defense turned out to be crap, then Spikes was lost, and it all snowballed.
  6. They wrapped up HFA last weekend. It never sounded like they were interested in going 16-0 anyway. And I wouldn't be surprised if they're already installing their gameplan for the Pats.
  7. Yeah Lovie Smith will win it. The Bears really turned it around and will be division winners.
  8. Well when you script an opening drive, I'd assume you run the plays a ton to get them down pat. The rest of the game plays you run a couple times. I think it's execution more than anything, but I'd also rather see someone else be the OC, since a HC should be doing other things. And that's not an endorsement of Mularkey, per se.
  9. Thanks for reminding me because I was going to mention that I had a problem with both Firefox AND IE. What gives, CP?
  10. No, really. (TCali's just kidding, honey!)
  11. Roaf has injury issues as well and was considered to be on the downside of his career. The Chefs got lucky with that pickup, like they did with the Priest Holmes one. And I agree that it appears that the only way to get a franchise LT is the draft. Hopefully Peters was it (although that would be the "un" draft). BTW, what does this avatar mean?
  12. Sorry, I should have said "I knew it well." The boats been in dry dock since marriage.
  13. Just to reiterate, here is the list of Bills' FA's next year, obtained from CP: UFA CB Nate Clements OL Trey Teague WR Josh Reed DT Ron Edwards DL Ryan Denney DT Justin Bannan LS Mike Schneck OL Greg Jerman CB Kevin Thomas QB Shane Matthews RFA LB Angelo Crowell (min. tender -> 3rd rd) LB Mario Haggan (min. tender -> 7th rd) LB Josh Stamer (min. tender -> none) WR Sam Aiken (min. tender -> 4th rd) OL Lawrence Smith (min. tender -> none) EFA CB Jabari Greer OT/TE Jason Peters RB Shaud Williams Only Schneck is a must-resign IMHO. They could also toss a bone to Reed, Edwards, Denney, Bannan, and Thomas if he's healthy, but for not much more than the minimum. I see the RFA's and EFA's being kept, except for maybe Aiken and Smith.
  14. So, it's going to have to come due sooner or later, and why not sooner in the "rebuilding" process? And POSSIBLY in Moulds' case, if the Bills agree to get rid of some coaches, he sticks around with a pay cut?
  15. Ah, the "S.S. Canadian Ballet." Know it well.
  16. Yeah, but no sex cruise in '04. Or at least they didn't get caught. Then again, maybe they had it right before the Steelers season finale?
  17. You got it. One has had a better team around him, just like Roethlisberger versus JP.
  18. And would Manning have 3 SB rings if HE were in NE and Brady were in Indy?
  19. Even IF Drew takes the Cowboys to the playoffs this year, or more precisely, the Cowboys as a TEAM (since Bledsoe has lost as many games as he's won), does anyone think he'll ever take them to a SB? His time has passed in the NFL.
  20. They also have had a very underrated O-line.
  21. When YOU'RE the man, then YOU can make the rules. Until then, you're a slave to him, so to speak. The NFL has been dictating dress codes for years. This is no different from that. And it's not like Disney where Walt Disney himself had a moustache, but employees today can't have facial hair.
  22. Don't kid yourself. Dante Scarnecchia is THE best O-line coach in the NFL. When the O-line was having problems in the middle of the season, Brady looked like crap because he was constantly getting harrassed. Against the Bills and Bucs yesterday, he was barely touched. It's the O-line. Always was and always will be.
  23. I thought about that, but wouldn't packages that are picked up at private mailboxes be inspected as well? Or do they immediately get sent out? Seems like they would also get inspected.
  24. He'd be better off playing for the Colts.
  25. It was his bull sh-- explanation/defense of the "no goal." Most NHL fans I've talked to hate Bettman for one reason or another. And it was Chuck Shumer would urged the NHL to take ownership of the Sabres while a suitable owner could be found. Considering there WERE suitors ready to buy the team and the fact that over a 1/3 of NHL teams were losing money, and some had even been "contracted," allowing the Sabres to move to some magical Eden where they could fantastically prosper wasn't exactly a defendable position.
