  1. My point is, nothing is certain. And it looked for all the world that the Chargers were looking ahead to the Colts game the following week, and judging by the outcome, that seems plausible.
  2. The Dolphins started out beating Denver and Carolina, 2 playoff teams (albeit at home and early in the season, when they have an enormous advantage). Then they lose a bunch, get drubbed 22-0 by Cleveland, and go on a 6-game winning streak against 5 sub-.500 teams (I'm counting the Pats in there since they played 2nd and 3rd stringers most of the game, and still they only won by 2). And with what happened in the Bills' game, I'm not as impressed with Saban as some here are. It reminds me too much of last year for the Bills. I guess we'll see next year.
  3. He at LEAST could have had the announcers introduce HIM. You know, for his farewell?
  4. Don't forget that the Cowboys won some games they shouldn't have, like the Panthers game last weekend after Steve Smith touched a ref, and the Chargers season-opener that Antonio Gates had to sit-out. I for one wouldn't be surprised if he IS gone in Dallas.
  5. I wouldn't bet on him staying. He might, but I wouldn't bet on it.
  6. "The bigger the cushion..."
  7. That's the way it's been. Get a guy who's a great defensive coach to be head coach, see him fail, and wish he could have stayed as DC.
  8. Yeah but we WANTED SF to win, for draft purposes, remember?
  9. Doesn't matter now. The Cowboys are out of the playoffs.
  10. So WITH Moulds in there, the Bills turn it over even more? Or less? And let me ask you this. You think Mould's presence is good for a 1st down? And do you think even just 1 more 1st down would have helped win the game?
  11. Anyone have a list of 2006 NFL free agent WR's (or UFA in general)? One player I'd take a run at is David Givens, who I know will be an UFA.
  12. Thanks for replying for me. While the play-calling and defense share a large portion of the blame, Moulds' actions were inexcusable. Bad plays and play-calls happen, but a player should never throw a tantrum because his teammate is getting TD's thrown to him. If Moulds were being ignored AND the Bills' offense were stalling, I'd have more sympathy for him, but it still wouldn't excuse what he did. And maybe if he'd stayed in Buffalo to work with his new QB, like Evans did, he'd have had more passes thrown to him.
  13. Well to be fair, the Bills were one quarter away from sweeping the Dolphins this year, with a team with worse talent, if not for Moulds. But as I said, he's likely a goner if the Bills make a GM change.
  14. Depending on the new GM, Mularkey isn't necessarily safe.
  15. The Steelers didn't pull all of their starters after 1 quarter. If the Pats play their starters as much as the Steelers did, the Dolphins lose today.
  16. Not as dumb as "yeah well they tried to lose but still end up playing the Steelers." You're a regular Norman Einstein.
  17. Me too. I completely ignored that part of it.
  18. My was was easier. Wrong, but easier.
  19. You weren't proven right. The Bungles STILL have to play the Steelers as I predicted they would. It was obvious that both teams would choose to rest their starters this weekend, but at least in the Pats' case, they tried to win the game and didn't get embarrassed like the Bungles did.
  20. I know. I already admitted I blew it.
  21. Okay, forget what I said. My bad.
  22. What does SF have to do with anything? Did you mean STL? And again, the early games give the Bills the 8th pick. Redo the numbers.
  23. Oh and it looks like the Titans want the 7th pick.
  24. Re-read post #14 where I explain why the outcome of the Rams game doesn't matter.
  25. Strength of schedule depends on THIS year's records, not last year's.
