  1. Fine with me. Hopefully he nets the Bills the first comp pick in the draft, at the end of the 3rd round.
  2. Ouch. He'll probably be lost for all of next season. I guess they have to keep Kitna now, and it will cost them a ton.
  3. Things changed when Palmer went down (and will be lost for probably all of next season, ouch!), but they didn't play scared initially. And I still think that JP was injured enough to not want to risk injuring him further AND that the coaches felt Holcomb gave them the best chance to win. None of it worked.
  4. Yeah, and they SURE look terrified of them. But the game isn't over, is it?
  5. Fair enough. But with this offense (bad O-line, no TE, HC also doubling as OC), who COULD succeed?
  6. The Bills have won 2 games with JP and they've won 3 games with Holcomb. That's not a statistically significant difference.
  7. I doubt it would make a difference. I'm sure the Pgh fans outnumber the Bungles fans.
  8. After the way Cincy looked against the Bills and then Chefs (even though it was a meaningless game for them), I don't think they could beat the Jags.
  9. The same way Brady got credit for the playoff win against the Steelers back in 2001. It's basically the QB who started the game, regardless (or is that irregardless? ) of the QB not scoring any points.
  10. Double your pleasure...
  11. And next year we can all talk about how we'd never trade JP for Vince Young.
  12. Exactly. Offense sells tickets, defense wins SB's. Again I don't think anyone in their right mind can say that Manning has had a good defense since he's been in Indy, much less a defense as good as Brady's. Marino never did either, and he also didn't have a running game. And when you don't have to carry a team, it's easier to play looser.
  13. There have been quite a few games in which a team would have won had the refs not made a bad/wrong call/non-call. The "just give it to 'em" game was one such example that I'm sure you'll recall. If they make the correct call on Brown's non-catch, the Pats turn the ball over on downs, the Bills kneel down to win, and the Bills get a home playoff game against the Dolphins and likely make it to the 2nd round. In fact, during that season (1998) there were at least 5 games (including 1 in the playoffs) in which the refs cost a team the win, and a major reason why IR came back.
  14. To be fair, TD addressed the O-line. He just didn't address it successfully. Again how long do you give him TO address it successfuly?
  15. Yeah I know what you were saying. Like I said above, I can't predict what the refs will do, or what the Pats will do the their field. But I DID say last year was legit. And Manning winning would shut up those who say he can't win the big one. Unless they get some major ref help, which is possible.
  16. Hell, give me a 2-way RB who can gain 1820 yards at 5.2 YPC and catch 54 passes for 530 yards, and a TE who can catch 65 passes for almost 900 yards.
  17. I never said the refs had anything to do with yesterday, or that the Patriots were going to lose to the Jags. In fact, nowhere did I ever say the Jags would win yesterday, given their overrated 12-4 record, the fact that they were a warm weather team playing in freezing conditions, and especially with them starting Leftwich.
  18. That's funny because I'd rather have Manning's TEAM than JP's.
  19. Then again, against the Panthers, Losman went 16 of 29 for 197 yards, 1 INT and 9 points, with a MUCH worse offense. I'd take that over 10 of 18 for 113 yards, 3 INT's, and NO points.
  20. Sorry that I can't predict what the refs will do.
  21. That's what I was getting at, although as I said, I still would have picked the Colts even if that hadn't happened.
  22. I love the way the "experts" call Tom Brady a winner when he never won anything big in college either, and won his SB's thanks mostly to his defense. Well this year Manning has a defense that's, while not as good as the Pats' defense the past few years, championship caliber. We'll see how it all shakes out but I also look forwards to a good number of people being shut up.
  23. It's easier when your defense is shutting down the opponent and scoring points for you.
  24. Big business is all about money. What makes the best story line? Not that I didn't think the Colts were going to win it all anyway.
