  1. Nice missed PI call there, refs.
  2. The key will be getting good coordinators. A Capers, or Jauron, or McGinnis at DC would be great.
  3. Marv didn't mean to say he was going to be HC of the Bills. It was a mountain made out of a mole hill.
  4. True because no team has ever won a SB without Tom Brady. Hell no team has ever won a SB WITHOUT a superstar QB. Oh, wait a minute...
  5. If the Pats hadn't won their 1st 2 SB's thanks to the refs and/or the NFL seeming like they WANTED it that way, I'd have no problem with them winning. I just can't overlook it, and it was only compounded by the way Pats fans became.
  6. No he isn't. Put down the pipe.
  7. Again, just say no to restructures/renegotiations. It's either a paycut or BE cut. And in Williams' case, I'd tell him if he doesn't take one, they'll keep him until June for cap hit purposes, and then releasing him, giving him almost no chance of landing a big deal anywhere.
  8. They do. I think they're thinking he could be a latter-day Belichick. He's not. I wouldn't even call him a latter-day Crennel.
  9. A renegotiation is taking base salary and converting it into bonus. So while it may help out in the short term, it doesn't change the total money owed to him, and actually increases the dead cap hit for when he IS cut. Like I said, it's either pay cut or sayonara. And Givens would be good replacement, as I mentioned.
  10. I don't think Mangini is that good of a DC and I certainly wouldn't hire him as a HC. But hopefully the Jets do.
  11. The Bills' last win, against Cincy, at the time was thought to have saved the jobs of TD, MM, and co., and it dropped the Bills from 3rd to 8th in the draft. It was a bad win over an overrated team that meant nothing in the grand scheme of things, except as I mentioned, the drop in draft position.
  12. I think they would have liked to have destroyed the Pats, as payback for the past few years. And they WOULD have destroyed them.
  13. The "tuck" rule was supposed to be applied ONLY to situations when the QB lost the ball at the top of his throwing motion, since the NFL deemed refs too stupid to be able to recognize when a QB lost the ball or was trying to throw it and it came out wrong. I've ONLY seen it called like that, not when a QB has the ball at his midsection. And saying that Brady had to "tuck it under his arm" to complete the throwing motion is the biggest joke I've ever heard. Hell even prominent Pats fans like Eric Kuselias of ESPN radio's "Sports Bash" said that the call was ridiculous. And don't get me started on the 14 (as per ESPN) missed holding calls in the Colts AFCCG in 2003.
  14. If Moulds doesn't take a paycut (not restructure, paycut), thank him for the memories, cut him and sign Pats' WR David Givens. He'd be a good replacement.
  15. Good question. How do you think Brady would fare going against a Belichick-coached defense? Not much better, I'm thinking.
  16. Aw, the Pats got screwed by the refs? Cry me a frickin' river.
  17. The dynasty is officially dead. Hurrah!
  18. Actually a good example to show what a guy who wants to be in Buffalo will do, take a look at none other than Travis Henry. Despite his faults, he played hurt and put up some decent rushing yardage, probably playing over his head. And that's because the Bills were his favorite team growing up. I wouldn't mind Haslett at all because I think he'll put that little extra into the job. Although I hope he can land some of the top coordinators (read: ex-HC's) that are out there.
  19. His cap hit from the bonus would be $8.3M, and his base salary is just $750K next year. I doubt they do it. Plus the Skins' pick is later in the 1st round. Someone else more desirable will come along.
  20. It will be hard for them to justify spending $5.5M+ on Clements with the money they have tied-up in Springs and Rogers. I had hopes that they'd be the ones going after Clements, and that could very well turn out to be the case still, but it doesn't seem likely. But there will be others, especially with the franchise tender being so low this year.
  21. Did Alexander get hurt?
  22. i Look around, it is better (and better paying) to be a coach in another system, than to be the Bill's head coach, as the last two head coaches found. Brilliant. FYI Dubya was fired because he refused to fire unqualified cronies. And Mularkey wanted to quit last week, but the Bills talked him out of it. They could have saved all $3M of the money he had left on his contract, but now they'll have to give him some sort of settlement it seems.
