  1. Man I hope so! He's not much to look at, but he's a good DC.
  2. Seymour is under contract until 2006, but the Pats will likely seek to restructure his $5M base salary. Seymour OTOH will look for a big-money, long-term deal that will pay him a load. I can't see him taking a lesser deal anymore, what with his contract squabbles in the past, making the all-pro team again, and the Pats not winning the SB again. As for Givens, word is that the Pats don't think he's worth as much as he'll be given on the open market. So likely he'll leave for greener backs.
  3. I agree. That whole week of him being GM has been HIGHLY disappointing.
  4. Were Fox and Lewis "big money" coaches?
  5. Same coaching staff...different GM. But the point was that the fans didn't run him out of town.
  6. Brown was released because he had a major argument with the coaching staff. If you recall, he was inactive for what would have been his last game in Buffalo.
  7. His INT killed them. It was similar to the Panthers SB, except that the Pats were impotent offensively this time around since Denver's defense wasn't totally gassed.
  8. Have the Bills even INTERVIEWED Saunders yet?
  9. Which was further than his career long IIRC, and on grass where he was worse. And it wasn't indoors on turf at home.
  10. The Colts are a poor-man's version of the early 90's Bills. Sorry to say that. And they'll never win the SB, mostly due to their coach.
  11. Compared to what the Pats are or would be willing to pay him?
  12. I'm sure Dungy is pissed they got the 1st down. Oh and the Colts got hosed on that 4th down play where they just replayed the down over, because Faneca moved and it should have been a punt.
  13. And let me reiterate that I said that Bledsoe could ONLY have won that 1st SB, with the way the defense played in that game.
  14. And what would Kelly have done differently?
  15. Yeah but it worked. And where is Dungy's defense?
  16. Brady "won" that SB as much as Bledsoe "won" the Pgh game the week before. Both had major help from their defense and ST's, with each unit scoring TD's for them. And the Steelers had a much better defense, were at home, and Bledsoe came off the bench after not having played for 4 months and not getting the majority of snaps the week before.
  17. He must have found TD's "Off-season to-do list" lying around.
  18. This is my favorite part: I guess he's a kindler, gentler, vampire.
  19. Bledsoe could have won that first Pats SB, and it wouldn't have come down to a last-second 48-yard FG. The fact that Brady won MVP with 143 net yards passing and 1 TD is the biggest jokes I've seen in a long time. In the 2nd Pats SB, had Delhomme been on the Pats, HE could have won that game. And with the Eagles turning the ball over 4 times in the SB last year, a handful of QB's could have won that game. As I've said, Brady is a good QB, but he's not the reason the Pats win, and teams have won SB's without great QB's. Bottom line is the Pats had the best set of coaches that's been seen in quite awhile, and were fortunate enough to keep them for 3 years after their 1st SB win, unlike other SB winners in the past. You're now seeing the effect of the departures of Weis and Crennel, and the effect a lack of a great defense (i.e. one that generates lots of turnovers as well as limiting points) has had on their winning ways.
  20. Looks that way right now.
  21. Yeah, 8 sacks in 2002 and 4 in 2003. Then nothing the past 2 years?
  22. Not really. The Jags if you recall, were a good team from the beginning as well, and sustained it a LOT longer than the Panthers did. It's the byproduct of getting a veteran's allocation draft, the 1st pick at the beginning AND end of every round, and having a clean salary cap slate. With Haslett in NO, he was setback by that stupid Ricky Williams trade for years. They recouped 2-1st rounders ultimately, but bad draft choices and player moves hurt them, not all of which were Haslett's doing.
  23. Capers would be a worse HC candidate than Haslett. The Panthers days were a LONG time ago.
