  1. Mularkey's been offered an OC job by several teams. He's holding out for the Texans OC job though, from what I hear. Oh and Capers was offered the Dols' DC job, but hasn't accepted it.
  2. Naw. Just wait for the red, white, and blue smoke to appear.
  3. That doesn't mean anything. The Colts could still have given permission for him to interview for the OC position. And since Dungy has been vocal about the lack of minorities being hired to higher-level coaching jobs, I doubt he's deny Caldwell an opportunity to move up the coaching ranks and closer to a HC'ing gig. Especially seeing as how Tom Moore doesn't appear to be going anywhere.
  4. I regretted SEEING him not get the job done.
  5. I thought the Bills' organization was shut-down until a HC was hired?
  6. I thought it was supposed to be on at 7 PM? Is it playing now and being shown later?
  7. You mean like the Bills were LAST year? Saban hasn't impressed me yet and depending on how the Bills' coaching situation shakes out, I think the Bills could very well be better than the Dolphins next year.
  8. Good catch. Those ARE the 2005 numbers as there's no way the numbers are EXACTLY the same from one year to the next. It should be the $5.5M reported earlier.
  9. The AHC title only prevents a team from taking a coach for the exact same position. A promotion, like OC from QB coach is, is fair game.
  10. I've heard that from Packers fans. Can't give you much more than that.
  11. SOPRANO is....Keizer Soze!
  12. The belief that Sherman is a WCO-only coach is false.
  13. Going from QB coach to OC is a promotion, meaning the "AHC" title means nothing. Only if the Bills planned on making him their QB coach would it make a difference.
  14. They stand a much better chance of taking a job, ANY job, making some money, and showing what they can do, than sitting out waiting for a job that might never come. I mean if they didn't get a HC job THIS year, what makes them think they'll get one next year if they sit out doing nothing?
  15. Clements wouldn't have taken a demotion and stayed with the Bills as a QB coach any more than Wade would have stayed as a DC back in 2001.
  16. Buck the trend! Buck it good!
  17. Why does that surprise you? If April were available, he'd probably pay him $1.5M a year.
  18. He was their DC in 2004 and the Bears' defense stunk.
  19. I wonder if he still has Ronnie Vinklarek on speed dial?
  20. Doesn't Marv know he's not supposed to be doing stuff like this, because he's never been a GM before and thus can't do the job?
  21. Snyder IS a tool. Soon there will need to be a salary cap for coaches.
  22. The Packers were dumb to let him go and THEN to hire a guy who was the OC of the worst offense in football this year!
  23. He wasn't. 1997 was his last year.
  24. Yeah, I know. I said the same thing to my wife who was sitting there with me with her mouth agape at what he was doing. And he did it to some other starlets as well. I think he even looked down Teri Hatcher's dress. But again, it's all wasted on him. And on an interview with Leno (don't ask me why I watched it!), he said he had a new boyfriend. So he's definitely playing for the other team, if it wasn't obvious.
