  1. I'd be fine with any one of the bad ex-head coaches, who would make fine DC's. Bates, Capers, Haslett, etc.
  2. It wasn't a matter of trust so much as it was me believing that Sherman was the best candidate for the job, and feeling good knowing that he truly WAS who they wanted. I just don't see why the Bills would want Jauron over Sherman because as I said, his record as a head coach is lousy. And again I believe that after Sherman tasted power (i.e. GM duties), he wanted it again, even though he shouldn't have gotten it in the first place, and should get it again. That's why I believe the source, because it goes along with what I believe as well.
  3. I think he's been retained because the Bills are hoping he quits and don't have to pay him. For all intents and purposes, I think he's gone.
  4. I still believe him. When I heard Sherman was HC and GM of the Packers, I knew he'd want the same with another team and use it as a bargaining chip. Well he lost and now won't have ANY HC'ing job this year. But he'll have his $3.25M a year for the next 2 years. And I did NOT want him being GM of the Bills because that's the reason the Packers went downhill.
  5. Well the 2 answers you can give without making a Manning-esque mistake by calling out your team are a) "I'm excited to be working with Coach Jauron" if you like it or b) "I don't care who the coach is" if you don't. There is no c) "I am not happy with this pick."
  6. I never hated Tom Brady. I just thought he was overrated. So my answer would be Sherman.
  7. It had NOTHING to do with money. Sherman pulled a dickhead move and it back-fired on him BIG time. He won't get a HC'ing job now, but hey, at least he'll collect that $6.5M for doing nothing!
  8. That's a seriously uncool thing to ask, bjh. It's called "Off the Wall" for a reason. Let him deal with his issue in his way. If you don't like it, move on.
  9. At BB.com he's under the "Bills current coaching staff," but I think he's gone for all intents and purposes.
  10. Besides Gandy, Villy, and Shane Matthews, who else?
  11. Bates was Miami's interim HC last year. And he's a fine defensive mind. I'm hoping he's the Bills' next DC. But I can live with Capers and Haslett.
  12. It's not his fault or his source's fault, it's mine for thinking that Sherman wasn't a power-hungry prick.
  13. Apologize to Sherman after the shiite he pulled (I believe what SOP's source said because I kind of suspected that would happen)? He can go fark himself. I just wish he wasn't getting $6.5M to sit home and do nothing. Oswipe.
  14. Hey SOPRANO, while I believed you and supported you, I'll wait until they sign on the dotted line before I do cartwheels. Too much can happen, like it did with FARKING SHERMAN for me to be able to handle another disappointment. I'll be very happy if these guys ARE the coordinators, but I'll wait to express my glee.
  15. Yes, you're right. My mind is going.
  16. Wait, now that you mention it, I think it was Crowton who brought the WR screen, and nothing else, to the NFL. Shoop brought NOTHING.
  17. It was Shoop. He was the one who brought the WR screen to the NFL, and it worked until teams figured out how to stop it. And unfortunately that was about ALL he brought to the NFL.
  18. As I said in another thread, past success is a predictor of future success. You cannot look at Jauron's record with the Bears and say with as much certainty as you could after looking at Sherman's record, that he will succeed. Jauron got fired from Chicago and was fired from the Lions. Sherman had 1 losing season with a seriously depleted team, and he was fired. And the Bills weren't on the hook for all of his salary. It makes no sense. I just hope he gets good coordinators to help him out.
  19. The NFL is at its heart a business. Money is king.
  20. Need to keep the ratings up and prevent this game from becoming the blowout it was looking like.
  21. Was that him or Coughlin? What other choice do we have? Not going to games is NOT the answer.
