  1. And Bates should care...why? It's not like HE'S making $3.5M for doing nothing this year. And the Jets didn't even interview Sherman. Is that better than interviewing him and not giving him the job?
  2. Let me know when those NFL GM jobs come in, boys.
  3. Jauron said in that interview yesterday that he's never met Levy before, or that they weren't friends.
  4. Or Marv. In any case, who wouldn't want a guy like Wyche on their staff? Eh?
  5. What it comes down to for me is that there was a reason the Bills waited so long to make an announcement that Jauron was the guy, if indeed he was their guy all along (and the interviews of Lofton, Caldwell, and Capers were courtesy interviews, I believe). It just seemed like something happened on Saturday, as SOPRANO'S source (who has been batting .500) said, to make them finally go with Jauron. Maybe it's wrong I don't know (and I don't think any of us will ever know) or maybe people really DO think that Sherman was successful because of a weak division and Favre. In any case, I like the assistants the Bills have added so far, and Bates' addition would make me feel a lot better about Jaruon.
  6. I think Wyche stays as QB coach. I'm sure he still wants to coach, but that anything more than QB coach will be too much of a strain. I also think that loyalty only goes so far. And it's not like Wyche was going to quit and follow Mularkey around.
  7. I believe he signed with someone already. Rams, maybe.
  8. I had a feeling that since Sherman was the GM and HC of the Pack, he'd want that kind of power again. And it makes sense that something happened over the weekend that made the Bills finally choose Jauron. As for part ownership, that was on ESPN or some other website.
  9. If anything should sedate the Sherman lovers, it's that he wanted part ownership and/or GM duties in Buffalo. No thanks. As a fomer Sherman lover, once I found out about that, I was glad it manifested itself earlier rather than later.
  10. At her age, I don't know how much of a "Tight End" she'd be.
  11. I'm not either. If this past week has taught me anything, it's that whatever seems to have a good chance of happening STILL won't, just because we're Bills fans. But again, I think the odds favor the Bills. Come on Ralph, Marv, and Dick!
  12. The Bills and Jets are the only teams without a DC. Every other team has a DC, or DC's (in the case of Houston), even the head coach-less Raiders. Given the fact that the Jets are a mess cap-wise, meaning they'll have to get rid of a good player ot two on defense; that Mangini is younger than Bates, studied under the master Bill Belichick and thus will probably want more say on running the defense (especially since he's a rookie HC); and that with it being down to just 2 teams, a bidding war likely won't occur, I like the Bills' chances of getting him. I really hope it happens and I'd be happy with the coaching staff.
  13. Maybe it was 2005 Pro Bowl, as in the YEAR the Pro Bowl was played?
  14. From what I was able to search, he IS an alternate this year (like he was last year).
  15. What's the inside story with that? I must have missed it.
  16. Take a look here, and subtract Jerry Gray: http://www.buffalobills.com/team/coaches.jsp
  17. Good post. And Mularkey is a big downgrade from Linehan. Don't know about Capers. He hasn't really done much defensively in awhile.
  18. Actually instead they should have drafted Tommie Harris.
  19. Wilfork hasn't done much to distinguish himself to this point.
  20. I'm not overly worried about a team that the Bills, as bad as they were, almost swept, if not for idiotic play-calling by Mularkey (LOL!) and/or Moulds throwing a hissy fit. The Bills will be able to reload this off-season, and getting a guy like Fat Ted will help the defense enormously.
  21. Well just so long as YOU as a fan know what you're doing, that's all that matters.
  22. And also, if Marv wants to move up, again it's a matter of seeing what position, looking at the points, and finding the extra draft pick. Either they take it or they don't. So there's really not much fleecing that can go on and Marv always has the option to change his mind, as do they.
  23. Fortunately it's not so hard anymore, thanks to Jimmy Johnson's draft pick value chart. If a team is interested in moving up, Marv just has to take a look at where they're trading up from, subtract those points from the #8 position, and see what is closest on the draft pick value chart, may adding a premium.
  24. Winning what matters, not likeability, personality, good looks, etc. Take a look at most of the successful HC's; they're all stiffs.
