  1. Why would TO want to play in Miami? Does anyone think he wants Frerrote or Rosenfels or Lemon throwing to him?
  2. Byron Boston (an NFL ref, and father of David Boston) was out of position during the HomeJob ThrowUp and had to run to get to where the play was happening. He could NOT have judged where Wychek was in relation to Dyson while running towards the play because his perspective was constantly changing. Hence he didn't make a call and hoped replay would sort it out. But most everyone who saw the play, including the Titans players and owner, thought it was a forward lateral and was going to come back, and had a flag BEEN thrown, the play would have stood because of inconclusive evidence.
  3. So basically, whatever happens to you, you deserved to have it happen, because you didn't prevent it or overcome it. Is THAT the thinking? So all those African Americans who demanded equality during the civil rights movement were "whiners?" Or was that somehow different? At least I know what I saw ON TAPE during that game.
  4. If anyone thinks that a team with a QB with a 22.9 rating and needing the refs to stop virtually every opponent's drive with a back-breaking penalty deserved to win needs his brain cell examined.
  5. Well the Steelers only "got worked" on one play: the Polamolu INT, and they were ahead 21-10. That's hardly "getting worked," much less when you're behind and trying to score points.
  6. Uh, that's so wrong I can't even BEGIN to tell you how wrong it is. Maybe on the rare play that gets reviewed an official has a better view of the game, but most of the time they don't because they don't have slo-mo of the play in real-time, and aren't in perfect position all the time.
  7. And once again, OJ is innocent. Or Nicole and Ron deserved what they got because they didn't do enough to prevent their deaths, or overcome their attacker(s).
  8. You can't say anything for certain. But even if we ignored everything that happened up until that Seattle drive that ended in Hasselbeck being called for a PF on a perfectly legal hit, that horribly-officiated drive alone probably cost them the game. The refs missed 2 offsides by Haggans (one on that play where he was allegedly held), called that phantom hold that negated a pass to the 1-yard line, from which the Seahawks probably score the go-ahead TD, and then after Hasselbeck throws the INT and legally tackles the defender at the 29 yard line, another 15 yards gets tacked-on on a BS penalty, to put the Steelers close to midfield. That's a HUGE change of field position, and as a result, the Steelers scored the game-clinching TD.
  9. Shyeah, RIGHT! Issue an apology for farking up a call that produced a huge change in field position for the Steelers and helped them score the clinching TD? The NFL is a joke. I really wish congress would look into game-fixing in this instance like they did steroids with MLB. Maybe THEN we'd see some decent officiating.
  10. Probably. There were other plays I remember seeing at the time and saying "yeah, THAT'S not a penalty," but the ones I mentioned were the most egregious. Again, this was a game that was 14-10 going into the 4th quarter, with the Seahawks having been screwed-over numerous times. For anyone to say that the officiating didn't cost the Seahawks the game, they don't the game of football.
  11. Good going! You've just ruined hockey for him, because few games will live up to that one!
  12. I predict...another loss prevented by the officials helping Duke out. Once was a joke but TWICE in a row? What IS it with officials these days?
  13. Doesn't matter. Sure Seattle did things to screw-up themselves, but it's not like Pgh with their sham TD run by Roethlisberger (who incidentally had a 22.9 QB rating, which is beyond pathetic), lucky 75-yard run, and gimmick WR option pass, were so thoroughly dominating that ANY one of the numerous bad calls couldn't have changed the outcome of the game. I mean the score was 14-10 going into the 4th quarter, DESPITE all the points the refs screwed the Seahawks out of prior to that. What more do you want to hear? I know you either wanted Pgh to win and/or had money on the game, but be realistic and admit the officiating sucked, just like the rest of the country realizes.
  14. It's hard to "overcome" bad officiating when they keep screwing you over.
  15. Perspective is an AMAZINGLY inconsistent thing, isn't it?
  16. Any other injured Sabres slated to come back soon?
  17. Which "beard" will he be shaving for Gillette? Oh yeah and MOST people didn't think he got in in real time, therefore the refs should NEVER have signalled TD. And on replay it would have been inconclusive.
  18. Replay showed it wasn't in. Again HOW did he say it WAS in in realtime? Bad call, among a load of bad calls.
  19. And they'll tell you "it's not worth dick!"
  20. In the part about Sam Adams, it reads as if he were talking about him after a particular game. But he has Levy being the new GM, so that can't be right. Overall I like his thinking, but with Jauron being HC and the move to the cover-2, he might have different ideas on defense. And I doubt he knew the franchise tender on Clements would be so low. As for Crowell, that slipped by a lot of people, so I'm not surprised there.
  21. Probably QB coach. Fairchild is the OC.
  22. Yeah, that's what he said.
  23. Exactly. I was going to mention how the zebra coming from the sideline didn't signal TD until he got to the pile and saw the ball over the line, after Roethlisberger dropped it no less!
  24. I missed the 3rd quarter play. But on the phantom holding penalty, Clark Haggans starts early and is offsides, which causes Locklear to use a rip technique (it looked like to me) to prevent him from getting to Hassebeck, who throws a beautiful pass to TE Jerramy Stevens that he ACTUALLY catches (!). And on the next play, Haggans leaves early, but again no flag.
