  1. MadTV is a lot funnier than SNL. SNL's schtick is that it's, well, live. The biggest problem with that is that they read those damn cue cards throughout the sketch and it's friggin' annoying! The best part of SNL is the news. Always has been, always will be. That's because they rehearse it to death and can read it LIKE they read the sketches.
  2. Peters got in some good punches, ripped-off his own helmet after knocking McGrattan's off, and didn't throw punches while on the ice. Peters wins. As for the Sabres letting other teams dictate, they lost mostly because they had 6 AHL'ers in their lineup, going against a completely healthy Ottawa team, on the road. If anything, despite the win, the Sens should be ashamed of their play.
  3. I will say that I do agree that Marv screwed-up the Clements situation.
  4. What did y'all expect with the new CBA? Why do you think Ralph "whined" about it? And where is the "additional revenue sharing?"
  5. As has been said, it's not Marv's fault that Reese (you want to talk about inexperienced GM's!) opened his stupid mouth and let the cat out of the bag. Reports are that Willis didn't study the playbook/know the plays last year because he didn't care and/or spent too much time in Miami partying-it-up. What makes anyone think THAT will change? Also remember his stupid "I thought it was 3rd down" on that 4th and 1 play in the Pats game. Marv made the absolute right call on trying to trade McGahee. I just hope the NFL does the right thing and gives the Bills a worthwhile draft pick from the Giants for screwing things up. I doubt it though.
  6. They're talking about last night.
  7. Having sex with a minor.
  8. Yeah, how much less motivated could he get?
  9. That seems odd. But hey, if they can get something from it, great!
  10. Man, happening once is bad enough. Twice is REALLY tragic.
  11. If either team contacted the other before Reese spoke, it really can't be called tampering.
  12. Sorry but a dog willing to jump out of a car moving at 80 MPH just to chase a kid on a bike is a bad event waiting to happen.
  13. I would have given the link initially, but I just threw it out there, thinking no one would care. I don't care much myself, just thought it was funny that the deal in actuality is 10% of intial reports. Ooops.
  14. Gee, a pretty far cry from the $250M initially reported, eh?
  15. Colin Campbell will be in the audience tonight. Good luck getting retribution for your players getting their asses kicked when being given the option to fight. I guess it's easier to blindside a player. And if the Sens pull what that author suggests, guess who gets killed a few shifts later when Peters, Mancari, and Mair take the ice?
  16. Oh, the irony! Just because you can't/won't see it HD, doesn't mean it's not true. And I'm glad Dillon's leaving the Pats period. Could be because of money, playing time, he's sick of Bahstun accents, etc.
  17. The heart of the matter is that the Pats want Dillon to take a paycut (surprise, suprise!) and he doesn't want to take one.
  18. Yep, that's what it sounds like.
  19. The decision to start RJ was the correct one. Too bad the ST's failed to show-up for 1 play.
  20. Did Flutie play ST's (at the time, given his "history-making" drop-kick in 2005)?
  21. Okay. I was arguing when the last time the Pats got into a bidding war for a player, which is what they're facing with Thomas. They've obviously thrown around big money for guys like Brady and Seymour.
  22. True, but that wasn't the point. Yep. Also a great area to live in.
  23. The Browns are reportedly interested in everyone.
  24. Opinions are like...well, you know.
  25. Yeah and the story was he had to pee and rushed through it. Sounded like an excuse, until a scout gave him another test and he scored in the high 20's or low 30's.
