  1. Yeah, it's not Jones' fault that the other 20+ owners won't accept the crap that's being fed to them.
  2. For one of the top players to fall to the Bills at #8, 3 QB's have to go in the top-7. Hopefully Vince Young wows them on his Pro Day because it sounds like his stock is taking a nosedive.
  3. Now if Jerry Jones, one of the "new guard" greedy owners who was part of the group that was holding things up (despite what Jones claims) says something might get done, I believe it. I suspect that Jones and others asked for loan assistance for new stadiums and SB bids, which seems fair. In any case, a new deal helps the smaller market teams like the Bills out because it likely means more revenue sharing, which means more money for Ralph, and thus a more valuable franchise.
  4. The Titans pick 3rd. Chow's probably trying to knock Bush enough for him to fall to them.
  5. So being on a SB contender would make it worth it? Or would a SB WINNER make it worth it? He's got a 1/32 chance of picking the right team, and probably making less doing so. Like I said, good luck to him.
  6. Again, that would be nice IF the Bills had an unlimited cap situation and didn't have need elsewhere.
  7. Brady owes his career to Belichick.
  8. The fans can drool themselves into a swimming pool. It doesn't mean that a) their teams' front offices would trade for him and his contract and b) that Moulds would want to play for that team. I hope he's realistic and realizes the $4M the Bills are offering him is the best deal he'll get, plus he won't have any of the other headaches associated with going to another team. But again, the Bills CANNOT pay him $7.2M in new money this year and cannot restructure him to screw themselves further down the line.
  9. No worries. Just use the logic of Gambler, he of the 134 posts, to dismiss his posts. I mean, who ever heard of Gambler before?
  10. Not really. The Bills were in SERIOUS cap hell back in 2001. This year they had about $5M in cap room going into the off-season. The moves to be made are based on production, age, salary, and fit. The Bills CANNOT justify paying a 33-year old WR with declining skills ~$7.2M in new money this year, when releasing him would save anywhere from $4.5M-$5.5M (depending on the source), which they could use towards a younger, cheaper, and just as good WR (at this stage of Moulds' career), plus towards another player. And Moulds isn't the only player in this situation.
  11. Young seems to be falling down the draft boards. It's possible he's there when the Bills pick.
  12. Trade him to...whom? You don't think teams know that if he doesn't take a paycut, he'll be cut anyway?
  13. I'd be more sympathetic to Eric if he'd EVER taken a paycut to stay with the Bills. But as I said, he's made anywhere from $26M-$28M the past 5 years, and is probably being offered a little over $4M this year. Sorry but if that's not good enough, leave and have fun starting all over with another team, for less money.
  14. NO RESTRUCTURE! Paycut or BE cut.
  15. If so, see ya, Eric! Try making $4M on the market.
  16. Like you said in the first sentence, there aren't many kickers out there. That's why I think that, although they're probably negotiating with AV's agent on a new contract, they'll probably listen to offers from teams out there who need a good (and I never meant to say he's not a good kicker anymore, just that he's not as great as he once was) kicker.
  17. I'd say $4.262M in salary for the year is "paying him" plenty.
  18. You want Peters' stats? Here ya go: Peters' Stats Runyan's Stats Considering age and salary, it's a no-brainer. But if you plan on moving Peters to LT (which I do), then it's another matter entirely. But as I said, if you sign Runan and somehow D'Brick falls to us, what do you do? I guess it's a nice dilemma to have, but a bit of overkill when there are other needs.
  19. Well if D'Brick were to fall to the Bills AND they signed Runyan, what becomes of Peters? Could he play OG? Could D'Brick?
  20. I'm not necessarily saying he's slagging the team, just that it seems that way. I guess he couldn't figure out a clever way to play-off-of Dick Jauron.
  21. His reliability has gone down the past few years. He had some key misses this past year, and in the Panthers SB 2 years ago. That's why you're seeing the Pats balking at keeping him. I mean for what he's done for the franchise, he's a keeper no matter what, but as people have said, BB knows when to get rid of players. The problem here though is there's no easy fix/replacement for them.
  22. Yeah, it's YV/DS/BB/FFS. Someone else explained it as being a take-off on the "Golden (Oldies) Boys" of Wilson and Levy. Hence the "Gold" is "fool's gold" and gal (since he's just one person) is the opposite of "Boys." Unlike the other names, which weren't denigrations of the coaches (well, "Dik Smub" could be), this name seems to be saying he doesn't like the tandem of Wilson and Levy.
  23. He gave up 4 sacks this year in 16 starts, but also had 5 false starts, 1 holding call, and a personal foul. I'd consider him, but not break the bank on him.
  24. Yeah, hard to believe considering all the injuries in 2002 and Angelo giving away 2 of his best players prior to 2003.
