  1. What's that come to in terms of cap dollars? And anyone know what the Bills rookie pool will be? Clump?
  2. They should. But they don't.
  3. Why make him an offer? He's an EFA this year, and after that, he's an RFA for another 3 more years. If he's good, the Bills will tender him at the 1st and 3rd levels, of not more (if that's possible). So he's not going anywhere for at least another 4 years. Assuming there's no lockout or extension of the CBA.
  4. The less percentage of DGR the players take, the less revenue sharing becomes an obstacle. The 4% difference between the players and owners represents $320-350M, which workd out to ~$11M a club, which is a large chunk and COULD represent one club's profit for the year. So dig in players, expect to be out of work and lower-paid this year, mostly restricted NEXT year, and then locked-out in 2008. Bravo.
  5. I think Moulds is staying in either case. If there's no new CBA, the money pool will be low and the player pool with be large, and Moulds won't make even half of what he will with the Bills, even with the paycut. However with a new CBA and a rise in the case bu $10-15M, the Bills probably keep him at his current contract.
  6. Don't bet on that. If the Bills can't land D'Brick, Peters goes to LT.
  7. I agree...if he takes a paycut. Otherwise, buh bye and good luck finding even $2M on the open market.
  8. Maybe if your team wasn't so lousy, he never would have gotten into the game in the first place?
  9. They won't "make it up in spades" in 2007. Only players wiht 6 or more seasons in the NFL will be UFA's. And player salaries can only increase by 30% annually. The lockout will happen in 2008.
  10. I wouldn't be surprised that, with what looks like a bleak CBA picture, Moulds and his agent KNOW he won't get near the dollars on the market he will with the Bills.
  11. Accorinding to Clump, the moves today save the Bills $6M (Adams and Milloy-$2.5, Campbell-$1). But other reports were that Adams saved the Bills $3.5M. So it COULD be $7M.
  12. I say go cover-2 with a 3-4. That REALLY would mess other teams up!
  13. That's what I thought, and that's a little different. It's much cheaper buying an old stadium than paying for your own state-of-the-art stadium.
  14. There's your new starting RG, folks.
  15. I forget. Is Pro Player Park or whatever it's called now a new stadium? Or did he just buy the old one?
  16. I don't see agents accepting deals for more than 2 years, i.e. to cover 2006 and the uncapped 2007 when the UFA requirement jumps to 6 years served. Then after that it's a free-for-all.
  17. Remove Fletcher and Gandy, and maybe Vincent since Clump says he only saves $800K if released, and add Burns, Campbell, Neufeld, Wire and you've got something. No one on that list kills the Bills if he's gone, but replacements NEED to be found for Moulds, Milloy, Vincent (if cut), Villarrial, and Shelton (shouldn't be hard). Maybe Posey if Spikes can't come back. And if the new CBA doesn't happen, there will be some GOOD players out there.
  18. They're probably waiting to see if there's a new CBA. If there is, then they won't have to cut as many players.
  19. Clump's cap page says that the Bills would save just $2.1M with Adams' release. And Moulds' release is supposed to save $4.5M, but reports I've heard are $5.5M. And Williams was supposed to save $4.9M, but I read it only saved $3.5M.
  20. I'm assuming the Bills want him to take a 30% paycut (and WHY can Curtis Martin take a much bigger one?), which would drop his base salary from $6.09M ro $4.26M, and want him to forgo his other bonuses, which would end up being a $2.93M cut in pay/new money for this year. Again he'd still make $4.26M, and combined with the $26-28M he's already made the past 5 years, he'd be well over $30M for 6 years of the (huge) contract he signed. And that would make him one of the highest-paid WR's over that timespan. I say cut him, especially if a new CBA can't be agreed-upon (and I think the Bills haven't cut him because they're waiting for the CBA to truly be dead). Teams will have to cut tons of players and the money won't be as plentiful, so Moulds can play for less on a team that might have a shot at winning the SB, but he's got a 1 in 32 chance of getting THAT right.
  21. That, his stadium debt gets harder to pay-off, and the value of the Pats decreases.
  22. If this happens, a retractable roof is a MUST. I know many of you will say "the game needs to be played outdoors," and it will. The retractable roof is ONLY for when a game is being played during lightning and it's a safety conern for players and fans. Other than that, the roof should stay open for all games and other conditions. And the retractable roof would allow the stadium to be used OUTSIDE of when it's nice out, which is about half the year.
  23. Ted Washington. Oakland has to cut him and he said he wants to play for Jauron again. He'll be cheap and as long as they don't play him a ton, he'll be fine. Let Anderson and a non-1st round pick DT back him and Adams up.
  24. So we're to believe that Ralph has NEVER asked for a new stadium? Sure.
