Shelton did better last year than I thought he would. That being said, he's proven that when he's paid, he doesn't work as hard. It's not worth the money or aggravation to find out whether he WILL work hard this time, but odds are he doesn't.

Just say no to Shelton. If he wants EVEN what Shaffer got, he's not worth it. He's a guy who will play when he needs to showcase himself, but do nothing when he signs the big contract. At best I'd offer him a highly-incentive laden deal.

Coupled with the big money they're giving KGB at the other DE spot, I don't see them taking DE Mario Williams at #5 anymore. I was worried that the Bills wouldn't be able to trade ahead of them to get him, but now trading WITH them to get Williams looks like it could very well happen. The Packers would move down 3 spots, still be able to get one of the better players in the draft and some extra picks, and everyone's happy!

Actually I see his cap hit this year as being equal to what the Bills saved by cutting Campbell (i.e. $1M). As for comparing him to Campbell, he's 3 years younger and a MUCH better blocker.
