  1. Actually they don't. He's currently eating up over $7M in cap space. If they work-out a long-term contract with him, it will reduce that to about $3M this year, going up slightly more each year. And the cap is supposed to go up $7M NEXT year.
  2. Be thankful. Call the cops about the $450 he stole. Let THEM administer the beating. Then !@#$ his mother.
  3. I'm surprised. I figured Schneck would be getting AT LEAST $1M a year. Good long-snappers are hard to come by, much less Pro Bowl ones.
  4. It would be funnier...IF the Cowboys didn't play in TEXAS stadium. Is THE STATE OF TEXAS paying Jerry Jones for using the name?
  5. It was more passing-up shot attempts that did them in. Bad.
  6. The Bills have spent to the cap limit EVERY year that there's been free agency. So thinking Ralph is cheap is so wrong, it's funny. Just because they didn't pay-out stupid signing bonuses to guys like Bentley and Hutchinson doesn't mean Ralph is cheap, and a lot of OTHER teams aren't getting all the best FA's.
  7. Good question. While they signed on UFA that stuck on their roster (Marco Coleman), they lost 3 UFA's (Bert Berry, Keith Burns, and Ian Gold). Since that was a net loss of 2 UFA's and Berry had 14.5 sacks, I can see the 3rd rounder for him. But Burns did nothing for Tampa Bay and Gold was a marginal starter for them.
  8. The Bills will probably get just a 7th rounder.
  9. It takes at least a year for a player to come back from an ACL injury. He injured his knee on September 11th last year, meaning you can't reasonably expect him to come back before then, which means he misses all of the off-season, training camp, and pre-season. At best I'd do a straight-up trade for the 2, MAYBE giving a conditional pick if Walker plays and plays well this year.
  10. There is NO WAY I'm giving up 2 picks that are BOTH higher than than the ONE pick Green Bay would be giving up, to pickup an injured WR.
  11. It's not a matter of money. The Bills still are well under the cap and have the means to create a LOT more (restructures of younger players) that they haven't even tried. It's a matter of guys slipping through their fingers. Although I have to say that this has been a particularly weak FA crop.
  12. Sure it does. If Moulds is expecting to get his contract paid in full by another team, he's NOT going to get it. No team will pay him $13M for the next 2 years. He'll have to do as he said and take less to play for a "contender." And Green Bay is NOT a contender, and as such, Moulds will probably DEMAND that his contract be fulfilled if traded to them, which makes the trade unpalatable for Green Bay. Hence the ridiculous trade offer on their part. And Walker suffered his injury prior to the start of the season. I don't see him being back before the start of THIS regular season, which would pretty much make him useless this year. And on top of that, he'll want a huge salary with guarantees.
  13. So were you excited for the moves made the PREVIOUS off-seasons? And where did they get the Bills? I'll reserve judgement until I see the results. And FTR, I'm not "excited" by the moves, but I think they make sense.
  14. All I can say for THAT trade proposal is that the Packers organization has lost it totally. I'd tell them to take a flying leap, that the Bills will no longer do business dealings with them, and say "oh and BTW, Moulds would never play for Green Bay EITHER." Unreal!
  15. Well then, the Redskins should win the SB this year, seeing as they have the largest and most expensive coaching staff in the NFL.
  16. Not exactly. A team doesn't want to wait until just before the season starts to add him.
  17. ...and WHERE does this analysis go? And is it any good?
  18. The Bills need to let teams know in NO uncertain terms that they fully intend to keep Eric for the 2006 season, whether that's true or not (and again at worst, if he doesn't get traded, they pull a Milloy on him and release him just before his 2006 contract gets guaranteed). If teams know that he's NOT going to be free, they'll start giving up the picks.
  19. Well if the draft is as poor as they say for WR's, then using even a 2nd rounder to trade for Moulds would be a smart idea, if a team needs a WR. Why take a chance on an unproven, less-talented rookie when you could have Moulds? And you've GOT to be kidding me if Boerigter is a hot WR prospect. The guy failed miserably on an offense that was great and had some average WR's.
  20. I should buy stock in Eli Lilly and Co.
  21. I'll take "delirious" and optimistic over pessimistic ANYDAY. Depression sucks.
  22. The other teams in the division have fared no better, if not worse. The only team that you MIGHT be able to argue has had a good off-season is the Dols, but their big acquistions have been a QB who won't help them much this year, and a LT who is a perennial underachiever. As for the Bills, they added some blockers (Fowler and Royal) which is a GOOD thing. They also added a big, speedy WR who is a good ST'er. On defense they got the guy they wanted to fill one position at DT and added a backup SS. They need to add a widebody DT and a possibly another safety. There are June 1st cuts coming plus the draft. And I'm expecting coaching to make a difference as well.
  23. Nall will be a fine #2 QB. Holcomb may or may not stick depending on what happens in the draft, i.e. if they use a early day 2 pick on a QB (to groom).
