  1. I didn't get that from the article. What I took away is that in grading the QB's, Marv liked Cutler better than Leinart (and Young), but didn't think any was worth a high draft pick.
  2. I understand that. However if you had a guy rated as a 4th rounder and simply because some scouts rated him as a 2nd rounder, you shouldn't exactly be railing against a team that took him higher than that. And if Mel delved a little deeper, he'd find that several teams were interested in McCargo, namely the Giants at #32.
  3. At his pro day workout, McCargo ran a 5.11 and 5.12.
  4. I wonder why Nance didn't sign with the Steelers and his former QB, Big Ben? I mean they have a need after losing Burress and Randel el the past 2 years. Maybe Nance hates Big Ben?
  5. My good friend's sister-in-law who lives in Galveston was hit-on by VY about 6 months ago. He called her several times and even left a message on her cell phone, that she's kept to this day.
  6. Kiper's position on McCargo was weak. He had him initially as a 4th rounder. Then when he heard several teams were moving him up, HE did the same. Not really much of a grading system, if you ask me.
  7. buftex: I listened to him several times, and when he was asked about who had the worst draft, he mentions the Bills. That's DESPITE what he said about the Bills getting the 3 players they wanted, just in a different order than he would have liked.
  8. Only time will tell if a "wrong," much less 2 of them, was indeed committed, Scott. But knowing that the Giants would have taken him at #32 makes me feel better that the Bills didn't "reach" as badly, if at all, like many claim. And if McCargo turns out to be a stud, all will be forgotten.
  9. As ans4e64 said, they said that they'd trust Marv Levy over any draftnik. That's pretty much support of him.
  10. Kiper backed-off on criticizing the Bills' selections, and said that trading a 3rd to get McCargo was a bad move, not drafting him. But that's WITHOUT the realization that the Giants would have taken him at #32 and missed-out on him by trading down from their original 25th overall pick. FWIW.
  11. He was only a 7th rounder? Okay I take back what I said.
  12. So far all I know is that the Bills signed Nance. Thanks in advance.
  13. Sorry for the misunderstanding, but that was directed at the Titans.
  14. He had it back in 2004. The real question is, will he ever regain the form he showed in college?
  15. I never called Saban an "idiot" or Donahoe a "genius" for those picks. And Dan Gross pretty much summed-it-up, while I thought that Saban was the one calling it the "steal of the draft."
  16. Yeah and that's the BEST reason for drafting a guy: ticket sales.
  17. Yeah I read that. What a genius Saban is!
  18. Peter King was on the Dan Patrick Show on ESPN Radio and said that the Jets, Packers, and 49'ers, not Bills, tried to trade-up to #2. Even though his opinion is as worthless as every other "expert," I trust his information more than Glauber's.
  19. He's the same genius who lauded the Dolphins for staying AWAY from Culpepper and going after Brees, because "they just get it." Didn't say anything after the Dolphins traded for Culpepper.
  20. I heard on BB.com that they signed WR Martin Nance from Miami (OH), but it's not verified.
  21. Actually, and I hate to admit this, outside of that thread, the others were pretty reasonable.
  22. Great news!
  23. At 6'4" and 238#, Keith would be a taller Corey Moore. Wouldn't hurt to sign him, but doubtful he makes an impact.
