  1. Good rebuttal. My take is that the loss of Moss and Linehan had a big effect on Culpepper, if not the loss of Matt Birk at center. The problems for Daunte however are that he's NOT getting these guys back, is coming off a major knee injury, and needs time to get comfortable with his receivers, which he might not be able to do because of his knee injury. And the knee injury will limit his mobility, which will be something he'll have to learn to overcome being that he's a scrambling QB, which is something you don't want to force on him while rushing him back to play. Changing his supporting coaches, cast, and playing style, ALL while still being in the process of coming back from a serious knee injury, are a recipe for failure, and the Dols would be best served not playing him this year but keeping him as the 3rd QB so as to allow him to practice with the team, saving him for next year. But that's likely not how it's going to go down, and I'm completely fine with that. And as for last year, his only good games (i.e. where he threw more TD's than INT's) were against 2 of the worst teams in the NFL: the Packers and the Saints. He also fumbled 5 times in those 6 games, and the inordinate number of sacks has to be a concern as well. Will he get sacked less with the Dols? Hard to say he will.
  2. Fine, Culpepper not having Moss didn't contribute to Culpepper having a lousy year. So what DID?
  3. Losman was measured at 6'2-1/4". The critical height seems to be 6'2".
  4. I don't recall Jaws ever saying anything bad about JP.
  5. No logo beats the charging Buffalo Bills logo.
  6. If only character were his only problem. He's a lazy, unmotivated bust. Again as I alluded to, think Mike Williams, but not even as good.
  7. Semantics. Sullivan has the chance to make the roster, but I'm betting he won't. And Johnson knows the Patriots' system and is a good ST's player, whereas guys like Jackson and Caldwell are wholly inexperienced in the Patriots' system, even though they'll surely make the roster (who else is there?).
  8. Don't forget the 850+ return yards a year HD, not to mention 7 ST's tackles last year alone. I mean, ST's DO count for something with the Patriots, right? There was a far greater likelihood that BJ would have made the Patriot's roster than Sullivan would have. This latest legal stuff is just the tip of the iceberg with this guy. Hell he's not even as good as Mike Williams. Whereas BJ at least is worth something based on ST's alone, if not making the occasional nice grab (like in the playoffs).
  9. Forget that, when is the ranking of ST's coming out? Now I wonder WHY they haven't released THAT yet?
  10. Sullivan is a bust. The Patriots haven't gotten any "turd" like him to perform, most recently David Terrell, who was going to be reunited with his college QB, the great Tom Brady, and become the threat he was in college. Sullivan will be cut sooner rather than later, and the Patriots will be regretting trading one of the few WR's who knew their system.
  11. Uh, Fowler has started 23 out of the 41 games for which he's dressed. But yes, in the 18 games he didn't start, he WAS a backup. Gandy was a "street FA," meaning he was literally signed off the street. So of course he's going to be paid little. Anderson OTOH was has started 70 of 79 games for which he's dressed and started the full 16 games in 2004. I agree. But then after he HAS proven himself at RT, will you come back saying how "retarded" it was to NOT lock him up when they had a chance to do it cheaply?
  12. Peters will be an RFA next year, and the Bills will likely tender him at the highest level of a 1st and 3rd. All the while, they'll be working on a contract extension, but Peters likely won't settle for anything less than LT money, and the Bills will have to play him at LT before then to determine whether he's WORTH LT money.
  13. Not if they were behind STL. At least though they didn't reach for Jason Allen.
  14. Weren't there a couple injuries to the line last off-season that prevented them from jelling, or was that the year before?
  15. I assume that since your female roommate "begged" you to go, that she was unaware it was a Penthouse shoot. Otherwise she could have gotten something out of you to LET you go.
  16. I can see where they wouldn't re-sign him after paying all that money to Hutch and getting Birk back, but I don't understand why they kept switching Fowler with Cory Withrow. That's a concern.
  17. The Rams were going to take Whitner at #11. They lost SS Adam Archuleta (who was overrated anyway), and after the Bills took Whitner and their turn came up, they traded-down with the Broncos. Same thing happened with the Giants and McCargo. IOW, it was only a reach to the so-called "draft gurus." Not that any of them ever have any accountability for their draft projections.
  18. Of course it's airbrushed. ALL pitctures in magazines are airbrushed. Models aren't nearly as flawless as they appear in pictures, thanks to makeup and airbrushing, and some are actually quite frighteningly plain when not done-up.
  19. I thought it was 5 games.
  20. What, we're not supposed to flirt with the wimmin folk?
  21. The most I'd give-up for Brooks, a huge character risk, is a 3rd rounder. However most other teams would do the same, and someone (read: Dolphins) is sure to spend a 2nd rounder on him. Still worth a shot, especially if the Bills get the 1st pick in each round (which is highly unlikely, but possible).
  22. Gandy is the answer...for right now. Long term I don't know since while he doesn't seem to be a player capable of being a top-caliber LT, one never knows. But he'll be better with better LG play next to him and a better offensive gameplan. Peters should only continue to get better and looks like the future at LT, unless Gandy as becomes a top-flight LT.
