  1. Culpepper says his knee is 85-90%. Sitting back there and not facing a rush is one thing. He's still got a long way to go and a lot to prove.
  2. Yeah, I think I got it after you posted what Fewell said. I think the Bills want to see if Crowell can play the SLB spot because they want him there so as to be able to cover the TE. And as you said, since Spikes has played SLB in the past, if Crowell CAN'T play SLB, he'll probably play WLB with Spikes moving to SLB. But the most ideal situation is Spikes at WLB and Crowell at SLB. I think.
  3. Plus this from Chris Brown: I wonder if Spikes knows about this? http://buffalobills.com/blog/?blogger_id=1
  4. Hell, I'd take Brees' stats from LAST year, minus the injury of course.
  5. Nope. The guys at buffalobills.com's updated the interactive depth chart and it now has Crowell and Posey (and Stamer) at WLB and Spikes and Haggan (and Hunter and Ellison) at SLB. Yesterday it was reversed. Looks like WGR actually got it right! http://www.buffalobills.com/depth_chart/index.html
  6. The fact that he played SLB in the past and played it well gives me comfort. Likely he'll struggle more with the injury that the position switch.
  7. He'll never wake-up. If you don't have it to begin-with, you rarely ever develop it. He might lose enough weight to stick with the Jags, but he'll never be a good player.
  8. You can't lowball a guy when the money is slotted. The qualms HAVE to be over contract length. That's what's holding-up the Dolphins and Allen.
  9. Yeah, he'd likely drop to the 20's, if not further, and lose a year of salary and a TON more money dropping out of the top-8. If they ARE looking for a 4-year deal and won't budge, I'd tell his agent to get back when they are willing to do a 5-year deal and tell Whitner he's not playing for them unless he accepts one and to get his agent to get a deal done. Whitner should have been signed by now.
  10. It was a good thought and I'm sure they did the once-over on him to check-out all possibilities.
  11. Same in terms of where they line-up, but on different sides of the field. But Spikes from what I read in my old Lindy's played at least 2000 at strong-side LB and played at a Pro Bowl level.
  12. Word I've read is that Huff's deal is for 5 years. If so, I seriously HOPE that Whitner and his agent aren't pushing for a 4-year deal, in which case they can sit-out the season and re-enter the draft next year.
  13. How do you know him that he gave you a hug? And I'm sure he'll be fine.
  14. Mengititis is unlikely. More likely dehydration/heat stroke/exhaustion.
  15. I meant, "when is it ever" the case that the offense ISN'T behind the defense early in training camp?
  16. According to Paul Hamilton at WGR550.com: http://www.wgr550.com/bills/fullstory.php?id=1760 Interesting that they'd move Spikes after his injury to a position he's less familiar with in the pros. And it's interesting that even buffalobills.com didn't get this correct on their interactive depth chart.
  17. it will be tough for Harrison to come back before the start of the season. Reports I've heard is October at best. As for Koppen, he suffered such a badly separated shoulder, he tore his rotator cuff. For an OL, that's a bad injury to have and I'd be surprised if he were able to make it back before October as well. The rest of the guys will probably be back before the start of the season (guys like Sullivan and probably Jackson just failed the conditioning test). It's those 2 I figured would miss significant time.
  18. Yeah, it won't help. Any missed time will set him back.
  19. Harrison's career is likely over. Tough to come back from an ACL at his age.
  20. Already discussed, but it's his biological father's last name that he recently added.
  21. The guy holding Stamer. Everyone else is using proper technique (hands between the defenders' shoulders).
  22. I luk forverd to zat.
  23. Sucka! I've got that site blocked.
