A lot of stuff I've heard from Marvin Lewis leads me to believe he's pretty immature for a head coach. And that stupid/inappropriate smile he has. Maybe it's nervousness.
He's too tall, has average speed, and no hands. Hence the reason he went undrafted.
Just kidding, inside joke.
He seems to be worth developing and I could see him make the practice squad. Whether he turns into anything is anyone's guess, though.
Even though it was his first game, you'd like to see him AT LEAST hold his ground against a guy like Irons (whose career best for sacks was 2.5 as a rookie in 2002 with the Bills). The Eagles CANNOT be encouraged by that.
That's not to say he won't get better, but to expect him to be their starting LT this year is asking a bit much.
I'd like to know WHO committed penalties and dropped passes. If it's mostly 1st stringers, then I'd be mildly concerned.
And "Whitner unproven?" Are you kidding me? I think that's obvious given he's a rookie and this is his first day of camp.
Maybe I should have clarified "over" as being "a shell of his former self." If not being a year removed from an ACL injury at the age of 34 isn't bad enough, the cheap shots he'll get to his knee as payback for all those years of dishing them out sure will be.
It's the nature of the beast. Vernon Davis is the NFL's highest-paid TE EVER before he even suits up. And not surprisingly, the idiot owners who drew-up the new CBA didn't even address this situation.
I doubt Wease ponies up any money SINCE WCMF is the official Bills station. They appear on the show, Wease tosses them a shirt and asks them to wear it, and then everyone wants to wear it.
I agree the Bills should have beaten them both times and that the Dols aren't even as good as they were last year. I think Culpepper won't prove that last year was a fluke, assuming his knee gets healthy enough for him to play in a real game, and losing Ricky Williams took away half of their running game. Add Mularkey at OC and Bennie Anderson at RG and you it gets even worse.
Saban will be on the hotseat of sorts (he won't be in danger of being fired) because everyone will have playoff expectations for the Dols this year. We'll see how ol' Nick holds up.
He probably lied so as to not have to answer questions as to how much. And it's possible that he doesn't know EXACTLY what Whitner signed for given last minute negotiations, but he probably knows the ballpark.
In the past Brown was much more biased towards Holcomb. He slowly started to change because he's more or less paid to tow the company line.
And yesteday was the first day I heard that Holcomb got more reps and I didn't hear that was the case today. One day does not a trend make.
You really think that a guy who looked horrible until the day he got hurt, and who looks like will end up missing 2 pre-season game, will be the starter? No friggin' way.
