Someone posted something the other day where it said Ralph is no fan of Goodell. Anyone remember that?

They cut him because of back issues. Hence the reason he only played in 1 game for the Patriots and in the NFL last year.

Yep. How he can say the Bills are as devoid of talent as teams like SF, Tennessee, Detroit, GB, NO, and NYJ is beyond me!

It's not that Holcomb turned into the enemy by himself; it's that JP bashers became personal with their attacks so Holcomb bashers started doing the same (Not I since I like Holcomb, but as a backup, and I don't bash Buffalo Bills, period). I think that had to do with the "he's cocky" label as a rookie and all the negative stuff that we've heard, and possibly how he resembles RJ. It's childish I know, but it is what it is. Again with Holcomb, at his age and years in the league, you know what you're getting, and he'll NEVER become a top-flight QB. JP may not either, but we don't know that yet. And with a new regime, let's face it, the Bills are rebuilding. So why the need to have a QB who "can help the Bills win now?" What good does it do for the Bills to have a semi-decent season, still miss the playoffs, and then go into camp next year with a 34 year old Holcomb and no clearly-defined QB of the future? Does anyone think that the Bills are a Holcomb away this year from making the playoffs? I don't. Better-off I say to start Losman, or Nall if he ever gets healthy, take your lumps and see what you have. If he sucks, you draft Brady Quinn next year. If he's good, great! I just see NO upside to starting Holcomb, except for MAYBE a couple more superfluous wins.

Yep. And unlike Holcomb's one 400 yard game per 11 starts, JP has one 3 TD game per every 8 starts.

Tucker only played in one game for the Patriots last year. Not exactly a major blunder by the Bills either way. And if the Browns start Tucker at center...

The best was when he was talking about how the Dolphins "get it" because they were pursuing Brees and avoiding Culpepper because of the sex boat and other stuff, only to see them trade for Culpepper a few days later. Talk about a major facial.

Just for laughs, what board was that? And I think the Bills should be contacting the Cowboys about a trade, since they either did or will contact Freddie Mitchell to possibly play for them.

BB, you're surprised that a high-profile draft pick/QB from a high profile team is getting national recognition? And in training camp, everyone's a star. I know it's been beaten to death, but RJ was a great practice player and a not-so-great gameday player. We'll see what's what when the bullets start to fly for real.

The difference is that both Fiedler and Huard entered the NFL in 1998. Holcomb is a 10-year vet and JP is a 3rd year vet. For Holcomb to get the starting nod, JP would have to be significantly worse than Holcomb, because there IS no upside with Holcomb.

Well to this point, the organization was moving in the right direction and winning. If that continues to be the case, I doubt anything will be done. If they start losing again however, I'm sure Lewis will be instructed to keep his players on a tighter leash. apul: Yes player are technically adults, but they're basically overgrown babies who still need to be told what to do and how to act. Again as I said, a couple bad eggs is probably par for the course, but 5 is another story. And if it's not the coach doing something like suspending a player for this type of stuff so as to send a message to others, it should be the organization. Speaking of which, weren't the Bengals the ones with the "conduct detrimental to the team" clauses that they tried to insert into every rookie's contract?

Apparently only scouts know best. If only coach or GM listened to these guys all the time, all the best players would be picked in the beginning of the draft with no busts.

Again I'd like to know WHO were the culprits. I can surmise that the WR's who dropped passes were Aiken and Smith, but I don't know who the linemen were. Hopefully it was (mostly) the backups.

It started with the things he said about Buffalo when he interviewed. Then watching his interviews and the things he's said, he just strikes me as more immature than you want your head coach to be. And I can see a player or two getting into trouble, but 5 players is ridiculous and more an indictment of the head coach. And I have no doubt that Marvin does charity work and been an asset to the community. That has little to do with his maturity level since there are certain things expected of certain people.
