  1. Didn't Langston Walker go down for a little bit? Or am I remembering a preseason game? (Geesh, How can yesterday feel so long ago???)
  2. Absolutely agree. There is no way we'd be able to keep Bell if we dropped him from the roster. He's looked MUCH more capable than first advertised and his potential is high. Murphy is injured and too small to be a full-time T. It makes a LOT more sense to get Murph to take his surgery and IR him if they like him enough.
  3. Yup. Still not sure who's going to go if/when Peters shows up.
  4. Sounds like your wife is hot! ...Just messing with you. It's all a matter of perspective.
  5. Also don't forget that Marv wanted to draft Kyle in the 4th round but the rest of the draft room outvoted him to pick up Ko Simpson. Everyone became happy when Kyle was still around in the 5th. McCargo a bust? Maybe. That's still yet to be determined. He's still an important cog in our DLine. As for trading up when we drafted him, we were a bit over a barrell since we had no dt worth a hoot left on our roster, so that doesn't mean much to me. If he washes out of the league this/next year he's a bust. If all he becomes is an important role-player he'll only be a disappointment, not a bust. Now Mike Williams, THAT's a bust.
  6. I was suprised to here Musa getting the ax this quickly. I thought he was okay as a fill-in runningback. I Like our RB corp though. So I agree we don't want him.
  7. No, you were right, he did get cut on an earlier round of cuts, not at the final cutdown to 53.
  8. I rewound it and watched several times. I even called my fiance in on the loud one. Just crushing blocks. I think that keeping him around as a FB is probably worth the gamble. Sure he wasn't as useful in this particular game against a lot of undersized DL and LBs, but he sure could come in handy vs some other teams. I also liked the little FB flair pass. Too bad JP didn't have much touch on that throw.
  9. LOL! Well, the second IV comes after the run, along with the oxygen mask.
  10. Do you really think that 1,000 yards in 12 games while averaging over 4 yards/carry sucks? I'd put that in the pretty darn good catagory. Especially since the rest of the Rams s.u.c.k.e.d. last year. There was nobody else to worry about except Jackson. He's a very talented player, and I'd put him among the best runningbacks out there.
  11. We flat out robbed Baltimore. ...and I'm still giddy about it.
  12. I think I need to get a Moorman jersey now.
  13. That would be Donahoe, Son-of-Satan's work.
  14. yup, but teams were complaining about injuries the week right before the start of the season. Teams want to play the starters less during game 4, so why have fewer players to play, when they want to give them more time. Preseason game 4 is the last gasp chance for a marginal player to show he deserves to be on a team.
  15. Blink? I'm not quite following your question, maybe this will help: It's a yahoo league, he gave the yahoo number and password. I went to the yahoo site, tried to register and it said that the second game was full. Enough other people registered on it first. Does that answer your question?
  16. Yes the second one was full. (I didn't try the first once since other poster's said that it was already full)
  17. He did almost make a great TD saving play. He did better than I thought he would on it. As I understand it (from hearing both the Sirius play-by-play and the NFLchannel play) we started in a cover two, but switched to a cover - 3, with GWilson covering the middle third, SSafety near the box and the two CB's with deep 3rd responsibility each. They ran TWO fly patterns one along each of the sidelines preventing GW from helping 1 of the two earlier. So it was in fact a blown coverage by Yobouty as he had deep coverage responsibility for his deep third. If you saw the play he was Waaay behind. People on Sirius wondered if he was looking into the backfield on the play. He was clearly running hard to catch up, so it looked to me like he knew he blew it. It was a perfect call for the defense that we switched into, and our corner was abused by S. Holmes. Yet GW did a pretty decent recovery job and almost made a spectacular play.
  18. McNabb is good. Much better than I though he'd be. But I still have to go with Moon by a chunk. Moon's passes were a thing of beauty. Deep and shallow with great touch. As someone pointed out just how many yards he also threw in the CFL. Yes he got a boost for being in the run and shoot for a while, but he set NFL franchise records for most passing yards in a season for THREE different teams (Seattle, Houston, MN). They weren't all running the run-and-shoot. Only two times in the CFL has a QB passed for more than 5,000 yards. Both of those were by Moon. 8 Consecutive probowls, winning a probowl mvp at age 41! If you want a bunch of interesting stats about Moon more than what your memory has left in it. check here: http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/football/280...nnumbers04.html My favorite: 4 - Number of Pro-Bowlers playing in KC's secondary on 12/16/90, when Moon shredded the Chiefs for 527 yards and 3 TDs. The yardage total marked the 2nd greatest passing day in NFL history behind Van Brocklin's 554 set in 1951. Moon had an opportunity to shatter Van Brocklin's standard, but removed himself from the game early in the 4th Q. Moon by a good chunk.
  19. Even if he's on the p*s, I can't root against Aiken. He never quite made the leap as a receiver, but it wasn't for lack of effort. I appreciated his work here and hope that he really isn't seriously injured.
  20. Hmmmm.... Truthfully, with my browser and no pictures, I often have a difficult time lining up what's what, when comparing with the real site. I found 3 spots that link (only because the links have now changed color since I've visited TSW) I only originally found the one at the bottom (home/contact/MESSAGE BOARD) The other two that I've found are: "join the discussion on TSW" after the news and ..."fan zone, forums, TSW, Off the wall..." at the top. I vote lofi, because pictures often take too long. er, I'm too impatient. Hope it helps! Mark.
  21. I agree, it's a decent summary. Not the same as watching the game, since you can't "feel" how the game is going. they're compressed with little space in-between so you see the results, but you don't get a sense of momentum, or to some extent how much one team is dominating the other. It's a little too bam, bam, bam. But I'll tell you it sure beats not seeing a game at all!
  22. No cut-off text on my Treo 755. (320x320) Looks pretty good, and easy to read. Only drawback was that since I've got it set to no images, so the only link I to the Stadium Wall was "message boards". And it's much harder to read. very horizontal. lots of slow scrolling to try and read. Haven't played around with it beyond that though. Nevermind, I scrolled down and found the lofi version. MUCH easier. Maybe make it the default link from the /pda main page? Thanks for your work! I truly am addicted to your site. It's become my only way of connecting with my Bills now that I'm in L.A.
