  1. Jeez, another man-crush. Most teams (including the Bills) don't use a dedicated fullback anymore.
  2. That's not true. Every team needs multiple DB's for different packages and I think Greer showed he belongs. Right now I would think he's penciled in as a starter and it's going to be up to one of the rookies to try and take his job.
  3. ....they plan on ONLY having FIVE when they go to camp. Gruden, what a nut-job! http://www.kffl.com/team/35/nfl
  4. For those who missed it: 1) Thought he might be going to the Browns, but he had thoughts that he might be a Bill because of previous meetings. Thought he would be drafted sooner. 2) Coach Jauron congratulated him but told him it was now time to get to work. He is ready to compete and mentioned being able to compete against another rookie who people think is a top player (McKelvin). 3) Says he has done well against tall receivers including James Hardy in college. 4) Looking forward to playing in Buffalo weather. Used to it and it's an advantage that he has done that before. I'll spare you the stupid puns on his last name.
  5. He'll be on around 9:35pm.
  6. Call me in three years and I'll give you a grade on this years draft.
  7. from NBC Sports blog on "sleeper" picks. http://blogs.nbcsports.com/home/archives/2...me-to-this.html "The undersized linebacker (6-1, 223) led the nation in tackles in 2006 and the Cyclones in tackles in 2007. The biggest question about Bowen, who had a pick in the East-West Shrine game, is where he'd play. Is he athletic enough to play safety? Big enough to play outside linebacker? Watching him on tape, it is apparent that Bowen is a sideline-to-sideline defender, but is he big enough to take on NFL running backs?"
  8. Undersized linebacker. Special teams. (6'1", 223, 4.79)
  9. This is like an old-time Marv draft. Pure vanilla, safe as milk. Nothing wrong with that as that is where your role players come from.
  10. Reminds me of Derek Schouman who is already on the Bills roster. I thought they might address line depth. Oh well........
  11. I don't like this pick. Too small. I would have gone best available at DT or OL.
  12. He's old and shows it. His knowledge is unsurpassed though.
  13. Denver and Chicago are ahead of us. Are those trades from last year?
  14. This pick is another response to what the Giants did to NE in the Super Bowl. Constant pressure.
  15. I like Connor (everyone does) but he is a middle linebacker---hello? We have Poz. That wouldn't be a great pick for need.
  16. WR Early Doucet CB Justin King LB Dan Connor DT Pat Sims DE Kendall Langford
  17. I can see the Bills going WR again maybe in the 4th or 5th.
  18. I was surprised Dallas took him. I suppose they replaced Fasano but they have Jason Witten. Same thing with the Skins taking Fred Davis, they already have Chris Cooley.
  19. Rucker maybe? I wonder though with signing two TE's in the offseason plus Royal, Schouman, etc. if they wait until the 4th or beyond and address another need. I wonder if the center position might be addressed or perhaps depth at DE/DT. I give the Bills draft so far a B. I like both players but I think there's a bit of risk with Hardy. I hope he does well.
  20. He likes to be critical---ESPN likes to create news if they can.
  21. Could be anywhere between 4:30 and after five depending on how may trades happen in the top 10. There could be several.
  22. Any of those guys would be a great pick. I think there is great value later so I'm hoping for a trade-down, but I wouldn't be unhappy with any of those picks.
  23. I'm predicting two WR's drafted or 1 WR and 1 TE by the Bills this draft, but hopefully none at #11. If anyone thinks Trent is going to become anything remotely close to a franchise QB with the three viable receivers currently on our roster (Evans, Parrish, Reed) the numbers put up last year say "no way".
