  1. I don't agree with DiCesare, however, the Bills plusses and minuses every year tend to put them in the same place. They had a fast start last year and this year will be a slow start, I think they're in that 6 to 8 win range....again.
  2. Our Pro Personnel Dept. is probably one of the worst in the league. Most of our free-agent signings end up being a disaster.
  3. Whether he makes the team or not, Corner and Lankster are better than Youboty at this point. Corner is going to see looks in a few different packages this season.
  4. Yeah, some of those things disturb me. But I have to keep telling myself that the Bills are ALWAYS horrible in the pre-season. A couple of those things will get fixed but its the Offense that worries me. It reminds me of the 2007 season where we didn't score much in the pre-season and it carried over to the regular season. I just looked back at that season and we scored more than 20 points only four times all season and were 2-2 in those four games. I feel it coming on again............
  5. When I saw him last year he still had Texas plates on his truck, so..................
  6. Buggs has made Bowen almost disappear.
  7. They are far enough down the waiver list to almost ensure they get him, 2nd I believe. That looks like almost a certainty with the injury to Cassel.
  8. Williams for Ashton Youboty straight up.
  9. My problem with Gruden is there will always be a QB contraversy. He'll have like six in camp.
  10. The stories about wanting Bell at LT instead may be true.
  11. This really isn't news to me. Call me in week six or so and see where he's at. BTW, I've been wondering for awhile if they have some sort of hybrid role in store for him. Maybin's combine bio has him listed at OLB/DE, and a team like the Pats play both the 3-4 and 4-3 at times depending on situation. Maybe they can maximize his use by moving him around?
  12. See if someone wants Youboty in trade as he's probably not going to make our team. I still think that La Canfora is reading too many message boards and creating his own news.
  13. ...with the Cowboys. That was quick.
  14. Didn't see that coming. Signed, Ray Charles
  15. I heard Paul Hamilton on WGR just say he thinks the Bills will only keep three TE's, and Stupar isn't one of them. You have to love a team that uses TE's as a door stop.
  16. Yep, those would be my three. Too many young DB's that are playing well right now and there's no way to sneak em' onto the practice squad.
  17. My fear is that Stupar gets lost on the depth chart. Too bad because he seems to be the best receiving TE at the moment.
  18. Yeah, I hear you. The part that pi**es me off is that because of the holdout the Bills probably won't be able to conduct a couple of experiments with Maybin. I want to see if maybe he can play OLB.
  19. I hated the #11 pick period. I didn't love any player at #11 for all of the above reasons and more. A lot of scouts were saying Oher had some learning disabilities and that he was a right tackle that maybe someday would make it to left tackle. Even though we needed help rushing the passer rush I think a "specialist" could be had later; Sidbury, Everett Brown, Ayers. I saw Clint Sintim playing for the Giants the other night and looked good. With that being said, with all the money currently tied up at DE I think I would have permanently fixed the LB position at #11 and taken just about any of the OLB's on the board to replace Ellison. That way you would be getting a starter and not a "specialist".
  20. Stock Up: 1) Stupar-A Buffalo TE that actually catches passes, what a concept. 2) Lankster-Thought he looked good before the Chicago game. 3) Jenkins-Could end up ahead of Stevie Johnson if Johnson keeps getting hurt Stock Down: 1) Youboty-As Jimmie Johnson said "You can't make the club in the tub" 2) Florence-I thought he would have more of a presence. 3) Wendling-A safety who can only play special-teams. With the surplus of DB's/WR's who can play special teams he's expendable.
  21. If Parrish is traded the Bills need a DE in return. A 3rd or 4th round pick does nothing to help the team
  22. I think he's starting because of seniority. Ugh.
  23. However, their lack of success in finding DE's evens that out.
  24. This story pretty much smells like a piece of crap to me. It's the type of journalism I hate. Since according to the writer Buffalo is "actively sniffing around" QB's. Whom are they sniffing? Name names!!! Or at least say they have made inquiries about an unnamed QB. That article seems like a shot in the dark by the writer. Do they have a sign out that says "QB wanted" somewhere? Or because the writer perceives the Bills QB's didn't look good to him the other night , he assumes we're looking for someone? Even if we sign someone tomorrow his post lacks facts. And yes, if Fitzpatrick can't backup Edwards I will/do blame the front office and will want John Guy's head on a plate. If Fitz's "noodle arm" is an issue, there's several years of game film and scouting on the guy that would have told them that BEFORE they signed him!!!
  25. I don't think too many cuts are going to be surprises. I don't like Xavier Omon---he doesn't have enough "burst" to play in the NFL. John Wendling is the current version of Josh Stamer, very good special teams player, but can't play his position and there's a lot of competition at safety. Chris Ellis isn't good.
