  1. The Bills would never do it but if Cleveland is willing to part with Quinn and wants a player like Parrish and say a late draft pick the Bills should explore it. They won't though because Jauron likes "his guys". That means Hamdan almost untouchable. BTW, here's Quinn's contract per ESPN on 8/8/07: "Brady Quinn has agreed to a five-year contact with the Cleveland Browns worth $20.2 million, with $7.75 million guaranteed, ending his holdout. The deal could grow to $30 million over five years with incentives."
  2. Uhhhh, it doesn't matter. I he was 21-12 as a starter with the Bears and now is 5-0 with the Broncos. Call him what you want.
  3. Trade just Owens? Trade ANYONE.
  4. He looks big & slow. The second coming of Bledsoe.
  5. Amen. And if they insist on keeping Parrish at least let Lankster return kicks. Trade Parrish for a linebacker, we're going to need one.
  6. Lombardi was critical of Langston Walker in the pre-season as well.
  7. I brought up Grimm in a thread last week. I think he would know something about creating a tough team that works hard. I wonder though, would he ask Mularkey for a reference? Ugggghhh........
  8. So I get Bell and Wood for giving up Peters? Based on what I've seen so far I'll take that any day. I don't care what Peters stats are.
  9. Chambers isn't good I'll buy that. I've seen it in print by several NFL writers that they think Walker was very overweight coming into camp. I really don't understand the love-fest for him right no. Do you realize that he is still unemployed? And he's not injured. Doesn't that tell you something?
  10. Oher is a right tackle, not left. I think the O-line has been pretty good despite some rookie mistakes. Bell has had penalties but otherwise I liked his play until he got hurt. Injuries man, injuries. Having Chambers and Scott as bookend is not where I thought we'd be in week four. Otherwise I'd vote the experiment a success.
  11. Even if the Bills could hire someone mid-season it would likely be a lost cause. Imagine someone coaching without knowing the players or coaches. I'd be SHOCKED if he's fired during the season, unless it's like week #14 and we've already been eliminated from playoff contention. There's no-one on the staff I would want to audition.
  12. They talked about that on the radio this afternoon. Roscoe is fine at punts but I hate watching him return kicks. Langster is on the 53 man roster and it's probable he'll dress and someone like Omon won't because of Lynch's return.
  13. I think it would be an even bigger disaster to fire DJ now. But, I'll play the game. I'd promote Fewell (even though I'm not his biggest fan) and then Bob Sanders could be the DC.
  14. I was thinking about this last night. Big names aren't going to come here because they won't get the control or the cash. I don't want some coach who is a diva, just someone who understands the nuts and bolts, and that isn't scared to make decisions on game day. The name popped into my head last night: Russ Grimm. He's had h/c interviews and is the assistant h/c & O-line coach for the Cardinals.
  15. I'm in. I have a can of gas with his name on it.
  16. Yeah I thought it was a great game to listen to. Just as I was about to make observations they would mention something that I had thought or was wondering about. A very intelligently called game.
  17. My only problem with Trent's game today (and it may not be fair to blame it all on him) is that they should have taken a couple of shots into the end zone instead of throwing risky short passes over the middle late in the second-half. I was waiting for one of those in traffic to be tipped and picked-off. Maybe when Hardy becomes healthy and Nelson is in the game along with Owens they'll take a few shots toward the back or the corner of the end-zone before they just settle for field goals.
  18. I thought Scott looked pretty good and they just commented on the radio about that as well. Chambers looked horrible in pre-season and was abused like a rag doll. I would not be in favor of that. I thought I saw Butler on the sideline in street clothes in the 4th quarter which might be a good sign.
  19. He's managing the game very well. But, time to take off the training wheels though as other young QB's are stepping up around the league. Sanchez and Joe Flacco had huge games this weekend. Time to put up or shut up.
  20. I expected to see Trent's yards per attempt/completion really low but it was higher than Brady's, so go figure. Need to improve the third down conversions, 4/10 isn't good. Need to get your "big play" guys involved: Evans & T.O., they're the equalizer. Moss & Welker had 24 catches between them, Evans & T.O. had only five.
  21. Poz=broken bone in arm
  22. I suspect the new CBA will take power away from agents where rookies are concerned as it should. That might be the best concession the players could give to the owners. This is a poor bluff on Crabtree's part. Is he really willing to accept a lot LESS money next year say if he is drafted in the second round? Is he going to ask for top five money next year based on the assertion that he believes he should have been picked and paid as a top five this year? Good luck with that.
  23. Next year if I'm the Bills I go DE or DT with the first pick (best available), and then DE and DE again! Only half kidding. We'll see after this year, but Kelsay, Schoebel, and Denney pretty much need to be replaced.
