  1. I'd hate to give up on someone and have him become a star on another team. All of the Bills QB's are under contract, so unless another team wants to give up a draft pick for one of them, let them fight it out in OTA's and training camp
  2. To my knowledge J.P. Was never sucker-punched though. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=4684326
  3. The Levy drafts were pretty bad as far as value goes, although they did have SOME success late. Brad Butler and Kyle Williams at 5th round picks is pretty good value. The 2009 draft other than Maybin looks real good value-wise. I think the 7th Rd pick of Lankster is an excellent pick and they didn't even use him to his ability (should have been returning kicks). McKelvin got hurt so that's a bit unfair. Buffalo always seems to over compensate early in the draft for bad/lack-of free-agent moves. I hope Buddy Nix is true to his word that potential draft picks with incomplete histories, and that are one-year wonders aren't picked. Draft players that will SUCCEED in your system (see Colts and Patriots) regardless of position and eventually you will win.
  4. Hmmm. He may not be a future Hall-of-famer but I believe he's the best center we've had since Kent Hull. And unless this regime thinks differently, Wood was drafted to be a guard, not a future center. Wood's road back might be a long one. The other reason an OL has to be a top pick.
  5. Levitre is a starter at G period. I believe he made the NFL All-Rookie team as well. His arms are ideally not long enough to be a LT.
  6. After hearing that, there's NO F-ING way I'd draft Claussen at #9. Especially McShay's evaluation. Questions about maturity and leadership and the possibility that he won't get any better than he already is? I'm done. My attitude is changing about Bradford, but I'd be shocked if he was there at #9. Lefevour: "a winner, gamer, tough, competitive, good-athlete, adequate arm strength". Sounds like a bit of a project; not comfortable in pocket yet, needs help with footwork, etc. If he's there in the 2nd I'd pounce. To quote McShay this year QB's will be "over-drafted" a half-round to a full-round.
  7. Denney and Ellison are big-time GONE. I wouldn't be surprised if someone gives Incognito a fairly large contract. We have the cap room and I'd do it as insurance against Wood's injury.
  8. Jauron helped destroy two QB's (Losman & Edwards) by having them adhere to his crappy offensive scheme. Add a poor O-line, mediocre running game, and not a decent TE in sight. Case closed.
  9. It's all in the players' mentality. I distinctly remember Edwards being interviewed in his parents living room after being drafted. I was hoping to find a YouTube link but no dice. He seemed a little stunned that he was going to be playing "so far away" from his California home. If I heard a kid seem hesitant about playing in cold weather, I wouldn't draft him period.
  10. I'm not feelin' it. I can see them going after a QB at some point, but I think that first pick needs to be of more impact. Whoever they pick has to come in day-one and make a difference. Changing to a 3-4 we have major issues at NT and LB, as well on offense at OT. I think an OT like Bulaga or a LB like Rolando McLain you can put in PEN into the starting lineup and stop the bleeding. Free-agency may tip its hand as to what direction we will be moving in first in the draft.
  11. I don't care what you call it, there are might be more MAC QB's in the league right now than the Big Ten. They throw the ball quite a bit in the MAC and many of the MAC QB's start four years. I'd take LeFevour with our 2nd RD pick. No question.
  12. Joe D. says draft Bulaga at #9. He has an uncanny knack for recognizing talent.
  13. I'd like to see O-Tackle or OLB with the first pick. I'd roll the dice and see who is there in round #2 QB-wise.
  14. That's fine. But remember Orakpo has played two positions this year, and now he's exclusively a linebacker. Who is to say that if the Bills drafted him and played him at DE (like the Bills continue to do with Maybin) that the same result occurs. I'm hoping the new staff will at least give Maybin a look at OLB. It was stupid not to try it this past year.
  15. He's more like 225 to 235 and that was confirmed by someone near the end of the season. WAYYYYYY too lean for a DE.
  16. I'm on board with this. The Bills need a guy who will be on the field making an impact DAY ONE. Look at some of the guys drafted well AFTER Maybin, they either went to the playoffs or the Pro Bowl. IMO, Keith Ellison cannot be a starter next year! As far as a QB goes I'm looking at a 2nd or 3rd round prospect to sit a year if needed.
  17. SSDD. I'm numb over this. I could care less who coaches, what they wear on the sideline, headset or not. If they pick better players, make the weak ones we already have PRACTICE WITH PADS during camp, find a new strength & conditioning coach, and win a few more f**king games!!! HOLY S**T. Where's the Tylenol?
  18. Sirius and Fox Sports reporting this. "Control issues" with the head coach cited. Hmmmm, our new DC?
  19. Buffalo is always going to get dumped on as long as Upstate NY continues to wither. Having said that Buffalo is a better FOOTBALL market than San Diego, Cincinnatti, and Jacksonville, all who have trouble selling tickets.
  20. These are things under Nix's watch that they are going to have to consider. The Bills need to learn to trade down when the ideal pick isn't there. They have traded UP for too many mistakes.
  21. We could have had Volek YEARS AGO and he turned us down, remember? He chose to re-sign with Tenn instead of the Bills because he thought he was going to be the next starter there. And he's going to be 34 in April....pass.
  22. Fire Guy and Modrak and hire someone like Frazier and I'd be good with it.
  23. Not trying to trash Rivera, but he's had chances and a lot of interviews in the last few years. I distinctly remember someone like Peter King or John Clayton saying a lot of teams weren't that impressed after his interview with them.
  24. Not that it matters but Shanahan said he looked forward to working with Jason Campbell. I don't think he's a free-agent this year.
